Items you get from Supply drops / supply crates are sent to your Armory and after you prestige is the perfect time to redeem the unwated weapons, exo suits, clothes etc. for xp that can give you a few level ups and unlock some stuff. Whether that be guns, perks, wild cards, it can all help as re-create your custom classes.
