I spent 5 days visiting Santo Antão. In this video I will talk about the Island, where people mostly stay when they visit, the main reasons why they visit, how much visitors the island gets and then specifically why I visited, where I stayed and what I did. We will also look into three activities I cover just in this video.
In a nutshell Santo Antão stands out within Cape Verde for its dramatic landscapes and trekking culture, fertile valleys, traditional agriculture, local grogue production, and slowly growing eco-tourism—all framed by its sparse population, limited infrastructure, and genuine Creole hospitality.
