Cheeses Celebratory Memorial webcast event 2020 Shiny Happy Jenn 2020-04-27 | April 2020 saw the closing of the legendary Danvers, MA CEC #478.Originally opened as a Pizza Time Theatre in April of 1983, this Location had a glorious 37 year history that saw just about every phase the concept has been through.On April 25th, it's two biggest fans and former employees held a live webcast to celebrate it's legacy.This 'virtual fan gathering' gave everyone a chance to say 'goodbye'. as well as learn more about this Store's history, hear some personal stories, and enjoy some vintage photographs.Fans watching online during the webcast also were live witnesses to the final 'Parking Lot Live Show' with The Big C himself making a surprise appearance! It was nice to share this event and have some closure , as local fans were robbed of experiencing one last visit due to the secrecy of the forthcoming closure.Regardless of that loss, we made sure to send it off in style.The legacy lives on !Special thanks got out to LooneyBird78 for editing and compiling this version of the broadcast specifically to upload here for archival purposes.The technology was not cooperating the night we attempted the webcast and was it was fraught with a lot of stops and starts, but now fans can enjoy this far more streamlined presentation.

Chuck E. Cheeses - Danvers, MA #478 Summer 1989 Remodel Shiny Happy Jenn 2021-02-22 | This is a vintage VHS videocamera recording of the day by day walk through tour of the Danvers, MA Chuck E. Cheese's as it was being extensively remodeled in the Summer of 1989.The remodel took place in late June / early July and was the second remodel of this particular location.Footage includes before the remodel showing how the Store looked from 1988 to mid-1989.While some of the original PTT elements had already been removed before this remodel took place, several elements were still present including -* 'Cheese E. Street' and the famous 'Cheese Factory' , built at only a small handful of locations. * The Lounge, featuring 'The King'* Original etched glass interior windows with character graphics.* Original 1981 PTT 'Classic Rat' carpeting* Original PTT era wooden seating and tables, including raised dining areas in the game room.* Original mirrored 'Jasper's General Store' prize/merch counter*' Chuck E.s Cheese Roll' Skeeball machinesThis video was originally shot by then employee 'J' Hubbard, who had the foresight to visually document this turning point in the concepts' history.A big 'thank you' to 'CEC Master' for converting / digitizing the original VHS tape footage into this uploaded version !-The Danvers, MA 'Chuck E. Cheese's' opened in April of 1983 as a Pizza Time Theatre.It featured most of the classic elements associated with that time period, including both a 'Lounge' (The King ) and a 'Cabaret' ( the mega rare B. B. Bubbles ).This Store however also received the rare addition including 'Cheese E. Street', a themed 'streetside' area inside the restaurant,This area also included the famous 'Cheese Factory' mini fun house,In 1988 the Store received it's first slight remodel after PTT was folded into a merger with it's prior competitor a few years prior.The merger period saw many former PTT elements removed, lighting brightened, and walls repainted to white.interior decor also changed slightly.This was greatly expanded in 1989 when the Company undertook a massive nationwide remodel of most 'Chuck E. Cheese's' Locations....as you will see in this video.

Cheeses - Chuck E.s Road Show - March 2000 ( debut ) Training Video Shiny Happy Jenn 2021-01-22 | Shot off of a tv screen, while playing the original Company issued VHS videotape.'Chuck E's Road Show' was a concept rolled out nationally in March of 2000 in a effort to insure 'all Guests see Chuck E.' when they visited.The idea was to move the costumed character 'Live Show' performances out of the Show Room and into the Game Room or near the Cash / Merch counter.A 'portable Live Show' was how it was pitched, and this was accomplished with a very heavy 'boom box' CD player, Chuck E. himself, and typically a few Cast Members.Here is the official VHS video program sent to all 'Chuck E. Cheese's' Locations in March 2000 when the 'Road Show' items were shipped.This video was meant to be viewed by employees once to familiarize themselves with the concept and items needed, and then meant to be disposed of.Some of us, however, kept such things for archival purposes...and now YOU get to enjoy !

Cheeses - Simi Valley, CA 2007 - Showroom and Show footage Shiny Happy Jenn 2021-01-21 | Shot from a tv screen, but it's the fastest way i can get this rare video footage 'out there' for fans to enjoy -A look at the Simi Valley, CA 'Chuck E. Cheese's' Location.One of the early Pizza Time Theater locations, this Store opened in 1980 and remarkably retained some of it's earlier history over it's last few years of operation.At the time this filming in 2007, the Store still had late 1980s decor and original PTT 'Flag Waver' units mounted in the Show Room.Although the 'Flag Wavers' were non-operational at the time that this was filmed, the older interior decor and signage was a delight to witness during an era when most CEC Locations had far more modern remodels.This short video features a tour of their vintage Show Room with late 1980s decor, including footage of the 'Rocker / Porch' stage that was still present.The Stage was unusual, and one of the last of it's kind at this time.The crazy paint job on the 'house' was not original and likely done by the owners of the Store.Sadly the animatronic characters were in very poor condition mechanically, as the Location closed the following year in 2008.A view of the Cybermiac Show Controller is also featured.Video footage originally shot by Shiny Happy Jenn and Matt 'the Franchize' for inclusion on the 'CheeseVention 4' ( 2007 ) Dvd video program release.

Cheese's special 'Holiday Party' Event held for the public on December 17th, 2002. This Event was a special public Christmas party held at the Danvers, MA 'Chuck E. Cheese's' put on and organized by the employees of this particular location.Over 150 to 175 Guests attended and were treated to a once in a lifetime experience with Santa Chuck E. and his friends !This webstream features a playing of the original 2003 VHS video release that documented most of the happenings that was filmed by one of the organizers of the event. SEE the amazing custom decorated stage, the 'Danvers Holiday Spectacular' in action with full skits intact.Jasper T. Several of their friends join them for the Show, such as Belinda B; Bear, Otto the Cat, and Rock N. Cheese's' Training Video series.Issued under the 'Chuck E. Cheese's University' branding as all training materials were at that time, this series of VHS tapes were issued nationally to all 'Chuck E. Cheese's' Locations to aid in training new hires.Several segments exist, covering all aspects of the job requirements, and many different versions were made over the years.This 1997 set featured a lot of reused footage from the 1994 Training Videos as well as from 1995 and 1996.This was common at the time to 'recycle' previously shot footage, so some segments appeared throughout the years on several different versions of the Training videos.Enjoy the early 90s vibe of this, from the 'checkerboard' style of Cast uniforms to the interior of the restaurant, to Chuck E. and his friends appearances.This video features some cool footage of the Irving, TX Stores' custom 2-Stage Show with the then test concept 'turntable' located on Cyberamic Chuck E's stage.This revolved when the curtains were closed , removed the animatronic figure from view and allowing the costumed character to appear to 'walk off the stage' during Live Shows.During the 'Birthday Show' segment, watch as costumed Chuck E. and Helen Henny appear to 'walk off the stage' right over to the table to perform for the party Guests.A great concept that was sadly short lived due to mechanical unreliability of said 'turntable'.
