Difference is I do a save and reload after fast traveling back to reset the cooldowns of the abilities. The 10 seconds it takes is faster than doing the Hyenas without Flames of Rebirth. I just had a good flow with this, I send one paired unit to capture the stronghold to the right, and have Byleth go on the left path to capture, racking up the kills/captures and the side mission, then swap back to Shez to handle the boss at that stronghold.
I just wanted to get some of Byleth's stuff up. If he had Despoil (from Assassin) the gold would be higher. The goal is to get his male exclusive classes and Shez's female exclusive classes done before next playthrough. But Xenoblade 3 is around the corner, so yeah. Some settings I tweaked to make things easier to see. System Configuration, Graphics Settings, Effects: "Blur the graphics around an object in motion. (Radial Blur") - Disable this to stop spell/action visual effects blurring and warping the screen.
Character Configuration, Control Settings, General, Camera Controls: "Enable camera effects when initiating actions." - Disable this to stop the screen shaking from your actions or from the raid boss.
Yes, I'm double weaving OGCDs without clipping. The trick is to hit the buttons really really hard. :)

I did this before increasing affinity with Seven/Melia and Seven/Riki to make it easy to separate crystals and slowly fine tune them.
Generally it's 4x of each Gem. Indiviual anti-debuff gems were only 2x each because the Debuff Resist gem covers those. Except for Daze Resist, Topple Resist, and Good-Footing, which I did 8x of each. Strength Up, Ether Up, EXP UP, AP Up is 14x of each. Since 2 gems are needed to cap a char, I did two for each of the seven chars. 8x each of the Superboss gems, as well as general Stat-Up gems like HP Up, Muscle Up, Attack Plus/Stability. For Heat Sink, only 2x was needed. 424 Gems overall, leaving room for New Game Plus to dispose of any that come via quests.

It's not a command unlockable via the iFruit App, so I had to use a save editor to temporarily demonstrate this while offline (as the game pulls from Social Club's Cloud to refresh Chop). But this test shows that the game will do it correctly. I've done 10 UMs at this point, and at Level 23 that means 22 affinity coins from Level, so overall was currently at 32 coins. Then I did a level via spending Reserve EXP into Level 24, and now the coins are at 33.
So even though the "Affinity Coin!" text didn't show up like in normal gameplay, the game is properly adding it to the pool.
