Since we couldn't always get our 6th person reliably, we just learned how to do it with 5. Not too many adjustments needed.For practice beforehand we played each encounter until we could finish it three times in a row without any deaths. The name of the game was risk mitigation: at every death we tried to take a precaution after that to avoid that kind of death. Same goes for the platforming sections. Still, in the last few runs leading up to this win, the majority of our deaths were on platforming sections. Welp.Kalli loadout/strats/tips:- Falling Star Thundercrash, Chaos Reach- divinity, mix of breach 'n clear anarchy + slugs, witherhoard + crown splitter- Adjustment for 5 man: we had one person take 2 adjacent plates. There was still plenty of time- Use extra care so people can make it into the right doors during DPS. Generally that meant stopping DPS with enough time to go in carefully.Shuro Chi loadout/strats/tips:- Anarchy, witherhoard, and swords for DPS- various add-clearing things like Trinity Ghoul, sunshot, sunbreaker titan, hunter stasis- I used stronghold + a sword for standing on plates- Don't get too close to the boss until it's damage time. Sometimes she can boop you off or one shot snipe you randomly- Have a good system during plates for people swapping plates to avoid duplicates- Have great add-clear during plates so the plate people can focus on just the plates and not on surviving- Effectively clear the phalanxes at the top of the teacups to pave the way for the rest of the team to comeMorgeth loadout/strats/tips:- Breach 'n clear witherhoard + sword- Saint-14 bubble (overshield in case you slip out during DPS) + wellVault loadout/strats/tips:- Shotguns and swords for dealing with knights- Everyone vigilant about knights spawning- clear phalanxes between phases so they don't physics someone unexpectedly. The ones in the tunnels come out of the woodwork into the main rooms between phases- Adjustment for 5-man: immediately after reading, one of the symbol readers went to clear the first lock, then went back to plate defenseRiven loadout/strats/tips:- Adjustment for 5-man: one side only gets two people, so they have to be more flexible and versatile. Probably the hardest part overall of the raid, but they nailed it- DPS was divinity and various combo of rockets, anarchy, xenophage, snipers, and golden gun. Bubble and well, of course- Good add-clear in the symbol rooms, especially the snipers. There's nothing at all timed in this part, so you are in control of how quickly you do anything.- Start by tackling the shrieker miniboss, to get it out of the way, since it's probably the most dangerous when just running by- Clear adds around a miniboss before trying to kill the miniboss. Their grenades do a lot of damage, and together they can hurt quickly- Each miniboss room has a back side with no door, which is a relatively safe place to go- Watch out for the wizard's stink cloud through the wall.- The sword can curve around corners, allowing you to kill the wizard without standing straight in front of its arc blast- Clear adds around the lanterns before dunking an orb- "Rotate" when dunking an orb, because the boss and other adds are usually at the bottom of the miniboss area you were just at. By that I mean don't dunk at the lantern closest to where you got the orb from. For me, if I got the orb from knight, I dunked at shrieker. From shrieker, I dunked at wizard. From wizard, I dunked at knight. Cold Denial is very good for popping warmind cells- Eyes of Tomorrow are great for taking care of both the knights on the balcony. After dunking, a wave of thrall will spawn. A few seconds later, both knights appear. You can be ready to target both of them with a single rocket salvo, then switch back to disper while the rockets are still in flight, to take out the incoming thrall.- Can use Eyes to clear the knights on the sides. The one on the left is easiest to kill. If you approach him on the left, he will often dodge the "wrong" way, out into the open, and get killed by the rocket salvo.- Take your time. The curse of suffering takes forever to reach x10.- Make sure to clear adds before dunking an orb. It takes a long time to despawn and can easily be juggled.- At the end, change loadout for next encounter before grabbing all the ammo off the ground. I used this one: imgur.com/a/qffqMeH- From an overhead map view, there are four chambers in the four "quadrants" of the area. I used the following route: bottom left room, then dunk in the left door. Backtrack to the top-left room, cross to the middle hallway and dunk in the middle hallway. Backtrack to the top-right door and dunk in the right side hallway. With this route you may only have to encounter an ogre one time, when backtracking after the first dunk (left hallway).- I took out my sword to block and cancel from ogre slams when I had to go near or pass an ogre- 2x void resist helps a lot with surviving the eye blasts- I used my super immediately after going into the room after crossing the ogre the first time, because my health was low and there are a lot of adds in there- the knights carrying the orbs deal a ton of damage quickly. Consider blinding them or attack them and kill them quickly- if clearing adds after killing a knight, juggle the orb to make sure it doesn't despawn. I'm not sure if it respawns at all- after doing the third dunk, immediately move far enough into the Chamber of Suffering to trigger the new area, but not far enough to start the encounter. *Hopefully* that will cause the Ogres to despawn. If it helps, clear outside the room before even going to get a sword, so that you aren't juggling sword lifetime as well as add clear.- Watch out for ogres and sword knights on the walkways to the sides of rooms. Sometimes knights can spawn unexpectedly and really mess you up- For the exit room, there is a great spot on the spawn-side cliff overlooking the bridge leading up to it. Destiny 2: Pit of Heresy Zulmak Solo knutaf 2021-05-31 | The main challenge of this fight was figuring out my DPS setup. Clearing the 3 minibosses isn't too hard with a little care. I first go to the miniboss's area and kill the acolyte adds so they don't bother me, then head back to kill a knight for the relic, then kill the miniboss and dunk the orb.One twist I found for dunking the orbs was to dunk at an adjacent spot from the one I just gathered, because the boss and adds tend to gather right around that lantern. For example, I would kill the sword miniboss and then dunk at the shrieker's lantern, and so on.I learned a neat trick that the ranged attack for the sword tracks pretty well, so you can often kill the wizard without being in line of sight with her.For DPS I ended up using: breach and clear witherhoard, falling star thundercrash, a rocket launcher (code duello with impulse amplifier and frenzy) with argent ordinance, and supercharged for a total of 4x charged with light. Destiny 2: Pit of Heresy Solo, Chamber of Suffering knutaf 2021-05-31 | This took me a number of tries to figure out a loadout I liked. The main dangers for me were getting overwhelmed with adds and the two knights on the balcony (lovingly named "balcony boys", or "bboys"). I started with Sunshot for add clears, a rocket for the bboys, and a sniper for the knights that drop orbs, but that wasn't good enough, even with warmind cells.I ended up with Deafening Whisper + Warmind's Decree (warmind cells on void environmental kills) + Global Reach for add clear, Cold Denial (pulse rifle) for popping warmind cells, and Eyes of Tomorrow for the bboys and orb knights. Eyes of Tomorrow was especially good because one rocket can kill both in a single salvo and can be switched away from as soon as the rockets are in flight.The other part that I had to practice was just getting a good rhythm and figuring out when to dunk the orb. Unsurprisingly, the best time to dunk was after clearing adds, because it spawns a large clump of thrall and the 2 bboys. Destiny 2: Shattered Throne Solo 2/2 knutaf 2021-05-02 | Solo shattered throne, but not flawless. Thundercrash Titan with Cuirass of the Falling Star, Anarchy, and Sniper (succesion). Solar bow with dragonfly and Warmind cells for add clear.Not pictured: 70 failed attempts on this encounter. I had a lot of trouble managing the health of the big knights. What's funny is Warmind cells worked against me. Popping one dealt about 130k damage to every enemy, which often would pop the heads off of a couple of the knights. With 3 faceless knights wandering around, it was basically impossible to survive through a crystal phase.The best attempts were when I could keep no more than one knight at low health, then use Anarchy and sniper to finish all 3 off in quick succession. Thundercrash + Cuirass (lovingly called "deletion" by me) did most of the work during damage phase, at high risk due to not having a lot of ways to heal myself (like other Titan subclasses/subtrees). Still, the damage output more than made up for the risk. Anarchy + sniper did a fine job finishing it off.Funny story, when I started off (not in the video) my Cuirass was solar element, so I was suffering a ton from all the arc damage. I was wishing I had one with a different element, AND THEN ONE DROPPED during the encounter, so I was able to put on double arc resist. Destiny 2: Shattered Throne Solo 1/2 knutaf 2021-05-02 | Solo shattered throne, but not flawless. Started off Titan with top tree Sentinel + Doom Fang Pauldrons until the ogre.I failed a bunch of times on the ogre trying to get the right loadout for add clear to circle the room quickly. Eventually I settled on a void bow to pop the wizards' shields, Heritage to take down wizards the rest of the way quickly. I used Stronghold + Lament to help get around the room a bit more safely (block incoming sniper shots). The bubble let me do damage to the boss without worrying about the tracking orbs he sends out. Destiny 2: 3-man Taniks pt2 Deep Stone Crypt encounter success (read description too) knutaf 2021-01-08 | Getting to Damage Phase - Augments being deactivated is a big problem. With all 3 holding an augment, no way to swap between people quickly. - Can we do the 4-core strat, so we can skip scanner? No, not enough time for 3 people to juggle 3 cores. If the cores sit on the ground too long they explode. The moment a third person picks up a core, nobody can pick up the 4th. - Can we do with only 2 augments, so someone can always swap for the deactivated one? - Scanner is needed since we can't guess which bins to bank in. - Suppressor is needed because the bins aren't bankable otherwise. - Operator is needed because Taniks' first purple bubble is basically immediately after core dropping is done, well before suppression is possible. - So we need all 3 augments, and operator needs to be available all the way up until suppression happens, to take care of bubbles. - Scanner can pick up one of the cores first. - Suppressor can't pick up the second core because there isn't enough radiation timer for suppressor to pick up a core, casually walk between the three suppression drones, and then go bank. - Operator needs to start without a core so they can pop the first bubble. - Taniks always bubbles someone holding a core, or else the person closest to him, so scanner can grab a core first to give the operator a more predictable target. - Operator needs to be without a core to pop the second bubble, about 5 seconds later. - So the operator has to pop the first bubble to free the scanner to go bank before their radiation timer, and then pick up the second core. - The problem is a second bubble shows up just before suppressor can finish suppressing. - So somewhere *during* suppression, the suppressor needs to take the core away from operator to free them to pop the second bubble. - And then suppressor needs to activate the third suppression drone. - The answer is, of course, Anarchy. Suppressor activates first drone, activates second drone with Anarchy, grabs the core from operator on the way to the third drone, and just runs over the third drone while Anarchy continues to do damage to the boss, which finishes suppression. If that sounds fiddly to you, that's because it kind of is. :) - Now to deal with deactivated augments. The deactivation cooldown timer is 45 seconds, but there isn't enough time to do the core switching, deposit the augment, wait for the cooldown, and then be ready with the augment for the second set of 2 cores. Taniks starts too quickly. - The answer (which we couldn't quite figure out ourselves) was to have operator and suppressor juggle their core to stretch the suppression until the deactivation timer has 30 seconds or less left. That gives *just* enough time to make it until his next 2 cores start dropping. - Stretching this way has to be balanced against the radiation timers. It's pretty easy to get the timing wrong and have to bank the core too early, before the deactivation timer is low enough.Other considerations:- Core dropping phase is a fixed duration, after which he is suppressable. Try to drop the two cores at the very end of core dropping phase, to allow a few more seconds to leave the cores on the ground while suppression is in progress and therefore lower radiation timer.Congratulations, it's damage phase! - Before damage phase starts, make sure to deposit the deactivated augment. - One Titan bubble placed just before debris shows up, which covers the whole damage phase. - One person with Well and Divinity, also used a sword to cancel getting blasted out of the DPS area to keep Divinity up quicker. - Other 2 people using Anarchy + slug shotgun with auto-loading holster, reconstruction, or Hunter reload. 3 shots anarchy, switch to slug and empty the clip. While getting blasted out, reload Anarchy. Once back in, 3 anarchy and empty clip again. Ideally you should have no shotgun ammo left and it should be roughly 1/3 of the boss's health. We needed all 3 DPS phases.- Before the next core drop starts, pick up previously deactivated augment, clear adds aggressively, and find shotgun ammo. 2x shotgun finder, 2x shotgun scavenger, and shotgun reserves helped. Didn't really need any grenade launcher finders; a little Anarchy goes a long way.- At final stand, there was enough time for us to do Anarchy + auto rifle damage since we were all out of shotgun ammo.Broadcasted live on Twitch -- Watch live at twitch.tv/knutaf

Destiny 2: 3-man Deep Stone Crypt security encounter (learning and success) knutaf 2021-01-08 | Our process and success figuring out 3-man Crypt Security in the Deep Stone Crypt raid. With @snoopyt7 and @onecelledwolf.After first damage phase, we had the operator downstairs keep scanner and scan the light side, then pass up scanner and start doing operator on the just-scanned light side while dark side did scanning upstairs. This helped parallelize and save time to keep the operator alive.
