I keep getting told to wait for a MacBook Ultra or an M6 or M7 that might be around the corner. My advice: if your computer is slowing you down, just upgrade it.
Someone said it perfectly, there's always a better chip right around the corner, and if you wait forever you'll never be satisfied. So focus on the features you actually need day to day. If you're exporting tons of video, a Max or Ultra chip saves real time. We just got the M6 Mac minis but no M6 Pro, Max, or Ultra yet. The current Macs are still excellent, and if you've got a job to get done, now is as good a time as any, especially since prices may only go up.
