St. Michael’s Woodshop is a five-day-per-week program, open to Rochester city boys and girls ages 13 to 18 who work after school and in the summer. All are required to be pre-screened and enrolled in school. Each youth receives a small stipend for participating. The woodshop teaches students both practical skills and character-building skills.

Buy students’ creations at the following sales:
• Dec. 6, 7 to 10 p.m., Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Road, Gates;
• Dec. 7-8, after all weekend Masses, St. Mary Church, 15 St. Mary’s Place, Rochester;
• Dec. 7-8, before and after all weekend Masses at St. Louis Church, 64 S. Main St., Pittsford (ornament sale to support St. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Haiti);
• and Dec. 14, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Dec. 15, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Pkwy., Henrietta.
