At Austal, we’re proud to be a global leader in shipbuilding and a trusted defence industry partner. But our commitment doesn’t stop at our shipyards—we’re equally dedicated to supporting our local communities.
Here in Western Australia, for over 10 years, our team and Austal Giving sponsorships have helped advance vital research through The Hospital Research Foundation Group—from cardiovascular disease and diabetes to prostate cancer.
Most recently, we’ve supported Dr Aaron Beasley at Edith Cowan University, whose work is improving treatment options for late-stage melanoma.
As our GM Operations (and Austal Giving Chairman), Mathew Preedy, said:
“We can see the impact that (our support) is going to make for future generations, so that’s why we really encourage our employees to get involved; and Austal is proactive in supporting organisations such as the Hospital Research Foundation.”
