In this video, Arash introduces Zaal, a depth-first Socratic educational assistant designed to help students and educators tackle one of academia’s biggest hidden problems: false readiness. Many students believe they understand the material, until exams prove otherwise. With limited time for personal coaching, both students and educators struggle to identify gaps early enough to fix them.

Zaal addresses this through structured, Socratic conversations grounded in course-specific materials. Instead of giving answers upfront, it probes understanding, adapts to uncertainty, and tracks conceptual depth over time. Educators upload course content and gain insight through performance dashboards, while students receive personalized, ongoing assessments that reflect what the course actually expects.

Built to complement existing AI tools rather than replace them, Zaal focuses on depth, fairness, and long-term learning, especially for international, concept-heavy STEM programs. With an MVP ready and pilots launching soon, Zaal aims to become a trusted companion in higher education worldwide.
