In this vid, I turn a steep, overgrown hillside on my remote off-grid property in the Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand, into a fully fenced, terraced vegetable garden. With no road access, I relied on my mini excavator and a small tractor with a PTO-powered rotary hoe to break up the soil. Using recycled vineyard posts and netting, I built a pest-proof perimeter fence and bird-proof canopy to keep out possums, deer, and birds. Now I can grow enough organic veges to feed my family right here in the bush.
