To celebrate the launch of the console editions of Planet Coaster on Playstation and Xbox, I’ll be building a new park in a fun way, by adding new kinds of coasters in the order they were invented in the real world. In this way I hope the park will grow organically as I try to fit every coaster in the game into it. I’ll try and make every ride in a realistic design, appropriate for the time it was built, and try and keep the park at least somewhat grounded in reality. I’ll be talking about the real life coasters that each ride in the game is based on, and also talking about roller coaster design philosophy and the creative process.

The next rides I plan to add are a wooden bobsled coaster like Flying Turns at Knoebels and a wooden wild mouse, and I’d love to have some suggestions in the comments for what I should call them.
