In this sweet little video, you will see our 5 year old dachshund wagging after 3 weeks of having a very serious, life-threatening illness. We just found out what his condition is called, have started the right meds and nutrition and he's starting to get better! See his miracle story below.

Our little 5 year old dachshund has been VERY sick for 21 days. He woke up on January 1, 2015 with a good sized sore on his lip out of the blue. It looked like herpes virus sore but we later found out it wasn't. He next got the lesions in his eyelids on one eye. He eye swelled up so he couldn't even see. He got the lesions in one ear. And when he beared down for a stool, lesion tissue protruded so we knew he had lesions in his rectum. He also got lesions on his snout and under his nose. All the lesions were exquisitely painful for him.
He also has multiple lymph nodes swollen in his neck and groin, some the size of eggs. (mind you, this boy is only 14 lbs)
Loooong story short, after 19 days of caring day and night for him with this mystery illness, we've learned he has a very rare autoimmune disease called Pemphigus Vulgaris in dogs
For the last 7 days, he was literally at death's door. He could hardly walk, lift his head, wag his tail. He hardly ate. We had to hand feed him and dropper feed him. He wobbled to walk when we took him out to pee or he just stood there.
We JUST got his diagnosis 2 days ago and finally have him on the right meds (we HOPE)
Thanks to the thousands of people praying for Charley around the world from our Facebook friends, to his very skilled and compassionate vet and to his meds and our nutritional protocol we have him on, we are happy to share that he has had an amazing turnaround in the last 2 days!! He's getting better, thank God!
