I am not a technical kind of guy so my presentation is from a very amateur radio user perspective on how it
operates and its strong and weak points. There will be plenty of videos out there on this product that will
delve into the technical workings far better than I.

A quick 4 questions for my subscribers/viewers on so gear carried on hikes.. Including day hikes.
Lets just say no wrong answers, there may be but lets just having fun.
What can I say, I was bored. Starting to think I should just quit this.. 5min and 13 sec. you will never get back...
where I want to be. I have been to other countries and have always been happy to return home.
There is nothing wrong with America that the faith, love of freedom, intelligence and energy of her citizens cannot cure.

The goal is the same, to be closer to nature.
However, I must say that comfort becomes more than a desire
in advanced years. I have discovered that comfort cannot be found
on a thin pad, on the ground level floor of a tent with old bones and
unforgiving joints.
Decisions must be made soon for future camp endeavors.

Maximize the trail experience for yourself, others and everything else in the wild.
Welcome to the wonderful world of hiking, get some experience on short hikes and with budget gear to get your feet wet so to speak before moving on to more expensive gear and attempting longer and my challenging hikes.
You may find that hiking is not for you and you will have saved a considerable amount of money and frustration.
Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.

I recently saw an article on graffiti in the New River Gorge area so I wanted to express my opinion and rather strong distaste for graffiti or vandalism of any type anywhere and particularly in the wilds... Some claim it as art but by definition in law it is criminal unless with permission of the property owner or the perpetrator owns the property on
which it is displayed.
"The Idea of wilderness needs no defense, it only needs defenders"
- Edward Abbey -
Remember when you do stupid stuff on the trail and get yourself in a bind, you put everyone who comes to get your butt out of the bind in danger. It is not just you. And, maybe not you, but someone has to pay for your rescue. Don't do stupid stuff. Even though you may only pay for doing stupid stuff buy your own hand... SAR jurisdictions are taking a hard look at unnecessary risk taking and who pays the SAR costs. Something to think about.
In most cases, search and rescue services in the United States are considered a public service and are not billed to individuals, meaning the average person does not pay for a search and rescue bill due to the majority of SAR teams being volunteer-based; however, if a rescue requires significant resources like a helicopter, the cost can range from $5,000 to $10,000 or more depending on the duration of the operation.
As if there were safety in stupidity alone.
-Henry David Thoreau-
The cell phone is many things, most of them good, but as the sole communication device in the back country it falls
woefully short of being the best or the only device to have for back country emergencies.
If you do carry a radio in addition to your phone and SOS device know the repeater frequency (GMRS or HAM) and proximity to you activity before you go. A current listing of repeater locations and frequencies can be found here: repeaterbook.com/index.php/en-us
Absolutely make sure you list the following on your programed message
that goes out with your SOS signal (before if and when you have to press the SOS button):
-That you carry a two way radio (Radio band type, such as GMRS, Ham, or both).
-The frequency or frequencies you will monitor and or transmit on - The Frequency number not a channel number
-and Your Name and FCC Call sign (if you have one)
βNothing in life is more important than the ability to communicate effectively.β

A sweet walk on some improved path and some dirt.
I took my mono pod for photos but never used it. I really need to get
a Packable tripod. Should have left it in the car, only took one photo and it
was freehand. Every thing else was with my little flying
assistant. The Hover Air X1 drone. Much easier to use than
a full feature drone for this close in video work.
(and do so without needing a controller, AWESOME)
Weight can vary widely depending on what you pack, the materials and construction of the pack and what the backpacker is willing to carry in weight.
Liters provide a universal standard for measuring volume, making it easier for consumers to compare capacities across different brands and styles of backpacks.
So basically a 60 liter pack will hold approx. 60 liter bottles of just air giving a easy way to visualize capacity without specific dimensions.
But if you want to go by weight 60 liters of water is 60 Kilograms or a bit over 132 pounds... Not something I or my packs could carry.
I find Ravens very interesting and have quite the appetite.
Trail Cam used: New View Hunting 1080 P - 2.5K - & 4K
1080p used in this video. Lighting was back lit and not good quality.
This camera does real well in good light and IR night light.

Just a thought on the best type of hike and my thoughts on them...There are easy hikes, hard hikes and awesome hikes. The only bad hike is the one you have not done yet.So many trails, so little time!
Interesting filter because in is electric but heavy (1.3 lb ) for a hiker but maybe a good camping fit.
At least interesting enough to pick up at a discounted price to share with my viewers and subscribers
It works well but there are things I don't care for in this system. Mainly the hoses do kink easily and not,
in my humble opinion, good quality for the full price of this system.
Stats:
100 to 200 liters on single charge
2600 MaH battery
4000 liter filter life depending on how dirty the water source is.
Filter can be used with or without power source.
