Every rider knows someone who's either ridden or owned a BSA Bantam. Your dad, your granddad, the old bloke at your local, mention that name Bantam and someone's got a story.
Between 1948 and 1971, BSA built and sold somewhere between 350,000 and 500,000 Bantams. That's a legendary number, until you put it next to Royal Enfield, who've sold over 1.5 million J-series 350s in just five years. So is the new Bantam 350 serious competition for Royal Enfield, and also the biggest opportunity BSA's had in decades?
We took the new BSA Bantam 350 out through the Royal National Park to see what it's really made of, tight twisty roads and a freeway stretch home to test it where a lot of small-capacity singles start to struggle.
