Total death count and rates sources are listed below. Note that for a couple of diseases, the death rates are an arbitrary estimate instead of a proper figure due to lack of data. These figures estimates are likely flawed, but would still give a somewhat plausible idea of the total fatality count. If median is present, it will be used, otherwise, it will be the mean of the upper and lower limit. The "Every xx time unit, someone dies" is taken to be the average number of fatalities over the total time period stated in the parenthesis. From Donald Trump's 46% popular votes percentage in the 2016 US Elections to Putin's 76% victory in the 2018 Russian Elections; we compare the most voted politician/leader of the more populous and prominent countries (with the exception of a few towards the end) via their most recent election percentages. Certain countries are excluded due to complications (e.g. Italy PM is not the election winner so apologies if you don't see yours). Included statistics from external research are the particular election the votes took place, the date and year of that election, the role (e.g. Prime Minister, President etc), the country flag in the background, and the popular + total votes. A light intensity and fill meter corresponding to the percentage is used to give a visual comprehension of the comparison. The filling animation is specially coded for this video and not used anywhere else. Note: This is probably the only kind of content grouping % votes on YouTube or the web in general. While non of these votes rankings/comparisons across different countries exists anywhere on the world wide web - we are probably one of the first to compare and visualize these interesting facts. However, it would be challenging to compare due to different kinds of elections such as France 2nd election with only 2 candidate vs India with many candidates, as well as some elections taking the percentage excluding the blank/invalid votes.
