OK, so here it is very, very important that you read the storyline!
So basically Obi-Wan is a Jedi of the Republic but has always felt like there's something about him that the rest of the Jedi have kept away from him. When he's in his early 30s he has a vision in a dream where he sees a place far away from anything he has ever seen, and in this dream there's a man that seem familiar. He confronts Yoda about it and the old Jedi Master reveals that Obi-Wan has an older brother named Remus, who is a wizard. Obi-Wan is unable to let go of this new piece of information and leaves Coruscant to find the place where he was born.
After some searching he comes to Hogwarts and comes face to face with Remus, who is a teacher there. As no one there knows what a Jedi is Obi-Wan is taken into custody and Remus confronts him. Obi-Wan then reveals his true nature. Remus does not believe him, saying that his brother died when he was little, but Obi-Wan sticks to his story. This infuriates Remus who attacks Obi-Wan who, unable to deflect the spell with his lightsabre, is injured. Remus eventually comes to his senses as Obi-Wan keeps telling him that they're brothers and the two spend some time together before Obi-Wan has to leave to go back to Coruscant.
On Coruscant Obi-Wan eventually becomes a Jedi Master while there's a war raging in the Republic. During this war Obi-Wan finds himself having visions of Remus, both including his memories of their time together and new things that imply that also Remus has entered a war. As things calm down in the Republic Obi-Wan manages to leave and goes back to Hogwarts. He finds Harry Potter, one of Remus' students, and asks him about his brother. Harry then reveals that Remus was killed in one of the recent battles. This leaves Obi-Wan heartbroken and knowing that he could never go back to the Republic with this in mind he stays on Earth, going into exile.
