There are so many words in English to talk about bright things - here are just 10 of them.

Bright - Too much light for your eyes
Shining - Reflecting bright light
Flickering - lights that go on and off repeatedly
Glistening - shining with a sparkling light (often water)
Shimmering - shining with a soft, slightly wavering light. (often gentle fire, moonlight on water)
Sparkle - shine brightly with flashes of light (often stars)
Twinkle - same as sparkle (but a bit softer)
Gleam - shine brightly (often with emotion, or on a shiny surface)
Glint (noun) - a small flash of reflected light, light in eyes
To squint - Close eyes because of light
