Today I'm breaking in my new Husqvarna 550xp Mark 2 by cutting down a dead oak tree in an overgrown area of the woods on our property. Be sure to watch to the end to see my Chevy Silverado skid the logs out of the forest.
I have been breaking in my new Husqvarna 550 xp Mark II for a couple of weeks now. I've run it a lot, and it seems to be running better with each tank I put through it. I love the sound of it, and I hope the first person perspective in this episode will give you a sense of what it is like to run the 550 mark 2.
Because this area of the woods is pretty dense, and I don't have a grapple for my Kioti 2610 tractor yet, I had to get creative on skidding logs out of the forest this time. I ended up using my truck to skid the logs and then used my compact tractor and a chain to load the logs into my trailer.
