Got asked if 60-card Branded Despia is actually good in Yu-Gi-Oh — a powerful fusion based strategy with fallen of albaz powered up by one of the best cards in the game - That Grass Looks Greener!
The answer isn't as simple as yes or no. There's a lot that goes into whether running 60 cards is the right call, and it really depends on where and how you're playing the deck. TCG, Master Duel, and the OCG all tell a pretty different story.

I break down how 60-card Branded works in the current TCG format, why double losing has been quietly pushing players back toward 40-card builds, and why Master Duel is a completely different story. I also get into why the OCG has had more success with 60-card Branded and what factors make it viable there that don't translate 1:1 to the TCG.
That said — I'm not closing the door on 60-card in the TCG entirely. The right build with the right pilot could absolutely make it work. We just haven't seen it click yet.
