This video shows how the drums of the brake drums can be powder coated into a rock solid surface that doesn't let water and dirt stick. The 2-komponent POR-15 was first tested as a liquid paint but it was not sufficiently tough to withstand a fall from 0.3 m, or 1 foot into the garage floor. The POR-15 was then removed by dissolving it, using Nitro Mors paint dissolver, followed by removing all surface rust with a rust converter. The action of the rust converter is explained. The drum brake was then powder coated with a zinc primer, and top coated with shiny black, RAL 9004, powder paint.
