For anyone that cares, wall jumping in this game gives you more air and distance than a normal jump, which is why I do that sketchy first jump off the side of the ledge. This lets me not have to waste any time doing extra jumps to give me height at the beginning of the level. That jump, the small gap at 0:10, and the big shortcut at 0:14 are the worst parts of the level. The shortcut in particular is super precise. The ending in that last saw section wasn't as fast as it could've been, but there are always going to be nerves at that point. That's probably about as good as it's going to get for me.
SMB is very quick-paced and satisfying to play, so I might look into more speedrunning in this game, even though some other people in this community are pretty out of my league. But who knows.
My last MKWii video of the decade O_O. Boy a lot has happened, and it's crazy to see how far everything has come. Thanks to everyone who helped and made my experience a good one. Happy new year!

For this video and many others I've made, I've used a common strategy in TASes where you can manipulate the RNG (Random Number Generator) to your advantage. In other words I can basically control the luck in the game by using savestates to redo things over and over again, as well as try different combinations of inputs to get different results. For example, doing a different combination of swings before a pitch can change where the ball is thrown over home plate, which would be completely random otherwise (as far as I know). This explains how I can get this many errors in a row, by trial and error with savestates. There's definitely other people that better understand it and could explain it a lot better than me, but hope you get the gist. Call it cheating if you want, but I think I'm finding things and pushing limits with the game that couldn't be done otherwise. And I having fun with it.
Anything with the "exclamation point" I counted as an error. This includes foul balls (example 21:50), hits where it's on the ground in the outfield at any point and they bobble it (example 26:09), and a situation where it is an out after they bobble it (26:58). Just to clarify.
I was bored today but this was actually pretty fun. The hardest parts were definitely the tree bounce before the checkpoint and not getting air on the last turn. I got a really bad tree bounce lap 3 which cost about .5 but I didn't have any big fails otherwise. I'm sure there are faster strats and this could be improved by a lot, but 300cc TASes are much harder to optimize than normal. Especially because you can't race your own ghosts or use TAS code.

I was actually stoked at how well the part with the fire snakes worked out. I I was expecting to have to lose a lot more time in order to dodge them, but lucky that side area didn't give me too much trouble (The part connecting with the main road is super sketchy) I am actually pretty proud of this run since I put in good time and effort into it, as well as finding a ton of unexpected new strats. The turn up the hill after the second cannon is probably the toughest and most annoying part about this track. There's a ton of bounces and sticky road to deal with, not to mention the drift down the hill afterward (ugh) The ending was also hard to deal with at first, but after I figured out the correct alignment to the finish line it was pretty smooth. (I didn't drift off the last ramp because of the alignment afterward.)

You guys asked for it, so here it is! Turns out that the score ends up as a tie if both teams reach 99 or more. This means that if one team had 99 runs and the other had 100 (it still shows as 99) then it would still be a tie. Hopefully that makes sense.
This was originally a very lengthy video at more than an hour, so good thing I time-lapsed it :P. I also didn't want to use multiple songs that could risk copyright, so I put in a 1 hour looped song. I'm starting to run out of ideas for these kinds of videos, but I will try to make a few more sometime.

Definitely the most effort and time I have ever spent on a Wii Sports video so far. Without the (new?) swinging strategy this would not have been possible, but it is very time consuming to complete each time. Fumiko's home run at 4:14, for example, took more than an hour to complete. This is due to bad angles and timing, which was a challenge with most of these home runs.
The (new?) strategy consists of swinging at a certain point before the pitch is thrown. This makes the ball come in higher than usual, which allows you to hit it farther and higher.
I emulated 2 players because you can control when the ball is thrown, which makes it much easier to time the swing. You can also throw much faster than the usual guest.

No, I did not max out the score this time, simply because it would actually take months to do so. Instead, I got to the point where the goal hit its smallest size, which is stupidly small as you can see.
No human has gotten past 65 in this game mode (which is still very impressive in itself). This is because the goal reaches its smallest size at that point. Being able to get the ball in the goal past this point is near impossible. You would have to make a ridiculously precise and lucky shot to do so, not to mention that the goal is constantly moving and that the wiimote is pretty inconsistent.
Each ball that I hit past 65 took around 5 minutes to perfect, so that gives you a perspective on how long 999 would take, let alone just 100. I know I did not beat the record by very much this time, but I think it is clear that 999 can eventually be done with TAS (As I said, it would actually take months).
Back with more Wii Sports! This time I maxed out the score of the tennis training mode, Returning Balls. This actually took me several hours to complete (including multiple dolphin errors DX). The wiimote sucks on dolphin as well, which explains the random flailing of the racket on most hits lol.
I did not speed up this video to shorten the length because I would have needed to insert music. This most likely would have resulted in copyright claims, which I am trying to stay away from. Odds are I will still get a copyright claim anyway :((((

FAQ:
-HOW DID YOU DO THIS? This was done using TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun/Tool Assisted Superplay). This involves using Dolphin Emulator on the computer with tools that come along with it. These allow me to slow down the game speed, save spots that I can redo if needed, and so on.
-DID YOU USE TAS IN ORDER TO CHEAT? No. TAS is meant to be used for the purpose of pushing the limits of video games beyond what normal players can achieve. When TAS is used to get a legitimate world record or to compare to normal game play, it is considered cheating. That was not my purpose here.
-IS THIS THE WORLD RECORD? No, because I used TAS in order to make this. However, this is the most (and maximum) amount of runs recorded in Wii Sports Baseball, regardless of if it is a TAS or not.
-WHY WAS THERE NO MERCY RULE WHEN YOU WERE UP TO BAT? In order for a mercy rule to happen, both teams must have a chance to get up to bat, and one team must be at least 5 runs ahead of the other. That is why the mercy rule did not happen until the other team got a chance to bat.
-WHY DID THEY DROP THE BALL SO MUCH? Every time I hit the ball to one of the computers, there is a small chance that they will drop it. Because of this, I was able to redo each hit until they made an error, resulting in a single each time.
-IS THIS POSSIBLE WITHOUT TAS? Although I said earlier that this is possible if you are very lucky, I take that back. The odds of getting 99+ hits in a row without getting 3 outs is basically none. Sometimes, the game randomly makes you either hit a ground ball or a fly ball as well, resulting in an automatic out (unless the computers make an error of course)
-WHY DIDN'T YOU HIT HOME RUNS EVERY TIME? As I said before, the game is pretty random about where the ball is hit off the bat. This means that I would have to take a lot of pitches in order to get the one I need to hit a home run. Doing this would be super annoying and would take a very long time, as well as making the game drag out longer. I didn't want to go to the work of hitting home runs every time if the ending goal is the same either way.
-HOW LONG DID THIS TAKE? A total of around 3 hours of actual game play. It should have only taken around 1.5 hours but the first recording got messed up, and I had to do the whole thing over again. If you include the game play, recording, and editing, I would say the total time was around 4.5 hours. But that's just a rough guess.
-WHY DID YOU PICK THE EASIEST OPPONENT? In order to play a harder opponent, I would have had to play like 15 games in the first place to gain a lot of skill level. This would just be a waste of time. I didn't just "choose" the easiest opponent to make the video easier to make.
-WHY DOES THE BAT JUST STICK OUT HORIZONTALLY THE ENTIRE TIME? I would have had to configure motion controls to be able to move the bat from that default position. Also, the motion in dolphin emulator is really inconsistent and hard to use.
-WHY IS THERE NO MUSIC OF THE ACTUAL GAME? I tried to record the audio along with the video, but it did not sync correctly during editing. This means that you all get trap remixes and Mario Kart Wii music. (Sorry, or you're welcome depending on how you feel about it)

Anyway, being sick this weekend I decided to put in a little work to upload something to this channel (which hasn't been done in 7 months as you can see). This isn't very in depth or optimized since it was done in one try and I didn't really experiment with any of the new routes/strats. I think it is clear that the bottom route is faster than the top (5 second improvement), especially since there is a very large, easy shortcut at the end. Spear seems to be faster than BB as well, but again I didn't really test it out. I would be interested to see how far this could go down, so if someone wants to make a more optimized run, go for it. I'd say a 51 or even lower is possible, depending on what is found.
So... is this a comeback?
Unfortunately, no. As I have said multiple times in the past, my availability for tasing this game has gotten very low. The only times I have to make videos are on rare occasions like this, depending on if I even feel like putting in the work. Other than the occasional tas here and there, you won't see much of me over the next couple years. I hope you understand :$

A nice, short track to TAS on another long drive. I was going to attempt the 5 lap version, but it froze after about 22 seconds every time I tried :( This version is basically the same thing except that the water is offroad (which is why I used to magikruser). I really don't know about the strats on this track, so if you know of some faster ones, feel free to make a run.

I have been wanting to take another go at this track for a while now, and I have finally done it. It is far from perfect, but I am satisfied with the improvement from the things that I did wrong before. As you can see I used many new strats in this run, such as the new shroomspot and the turn skip after the river (which was found by accident :P).

This was one of my first online races in a while... nothing else to say besides sorry for the quality.
I was originally going for 3 lap but I overwrited(overwrote? I dont even know) my savestates on accident. I had finished everything up until the exit of the shortcut on lap 3, but I only have the first and a little bit of lap 2 saved now. :(
With the current strats, I probably would have got a 2:14 for 3 lap. The new shortcut strat and mushroom bounce saves almost a second I think. There's a chance that I will finish this someday, but I don't really know.

This is my first run where I was able to use TAS code, so optimizing this was easier than other runs in the past. This run really shows how such tiny things can affect the result of a run. For example, the alignment before the turn going into the pyramid affects how low the next jump is. Same thing goes to the alignment before the spiral turn, which affects the next ramp as well. The final jump definitely lowered the time on this lap the most, but fine tuning the rest of the track gave me the .4. I don't think a .3 is possible, unless a new strat is found.

Although I found most of these glitches without any help, I did find out that I was not the first to find some of these. As you probably know, Troy (and Marionose1 I found out) were one of the first to find the big cave glitch, which gave me the idea to find more secrets in that area. In addition, I think Blaze (MalleoSquirrelX) found some glitches when the track came out. If anyone found anything I did not know about when this was uploaded, please let me know and I will add it to the description and give you credit.
I assure you that I did not use any codes for out of boundaries in these clips, although it looks like some of the places I got to should be counted out of bounds. All of the outer edges in these areas didn't count me out for some reason, so that led to some fun exploration. I did leave out some areas which were possible to get to since they were basically repeats of previous clips, and since the video was long enough as it was. You don't want to know how big this file was to upload. x)

This is also a strat test so I didn't work a super long time on this track, and I didn't optimize this that much. I just tested out some different strats. Beat ares by over two seconds though.
I lost some time at the jumps after the shortcut because I basically arrived at that area at the wrong time. I was barely able to get the second and third jumps because every other way of doing them made me hit the fire things, which is really annoying. If someone could do the first area faster (which would be easy) then they could get to the jump area at a better time to get faster low jumps.
The moonjump after the jump section saves a lot of time, and the jammed trick at 0:12 doesn't matter. It just looks cool :P Also I had to hop at 0:34 or else I would get a super weird bounce and alignment :/
The Q&A is taking much longer than expected since I am also doing it with commentary, so I really dont know when it will be uploaded. Sorry :(

Got a large BKT cut from him especially because of the new shroomspots and low jumps at the beginning, which save loads of time. Also, not going off of the blue ramps in the water section is faster.
Some things can be improved here like a few turns and strats, but it takes an insane amount of time to do one attempt on this track, if optimized. I actually spent about 9-10 hours working on this track

These first two laps are fine in my opinion. There are always areas of tases that could be better. Anyway, the second turn after the cannon looked like i hit the offroad. I realized that after the run was made, but it didnt really matter during the run since the other ghost didnt really catch up or pass me (it was only like .03 behind me btw). The sc gap strat was found by someone a long time ago (i forget who) but it was not found by me. Not sure if it is faster to wheelie and get a drift afterwards when i land or just drift like i did and get the mt when i land. 43 second lap is possible, but i dont feel like doing this track any longer.
Lap 2 was fine as well. I think slipdrifting after the first two slow jumps is faster, but I am not entirely sure. I was so close to sub x(, but i think a mid 17.5 is possible if it is optimized more (for example the first slow jump could be a little bit lower.
So... Why didnt I do a lap 3?
I was originally going for a 3lap tas, and my best time was a 1:27.772. However, I optimized the first two laps some more and that is when I realized that the fire jumper things are in the way on the straight, and I would run into them before they disappear. That means that it is pretty much faster to have a shitty first two laps and go past them after they disappear than it is to go around them with a good first two laps. RIP 3lap tas. Another strat might be found though, but I am done with this track. :P
Probably no tafs in the near future, but i might work on some more cts (or maybe even a nintendo track who knows :P)

I used Slow-mo, savestates, frame advance, and tas input to make this run. This is my first run with tas input, and dang, it helps a lot on some turns. And to everyone who told me before that i need to use tas input in my runs, I admit you were right.
About the run. Lap 1 is pretty good in my opinion. If you are wondering why my ghost caught up to me in the sc, it is because I used my shroom later to get a tighter line and a little less offroad time at the end of the cut. The sc is improvable on all 3 laps, as well as the small turn before the cut. On lap 2 the line after the sc could be better, and on lap 3, the sc and the turn after could be better as well.
This is also a quality test, and my first video recording with 4x native instead of 1x native, so please tell me if the quality is good. I also didnt use live replay because it doesnt work right now for some reason. It doesnt matter that much though. Please watch in 720p of course.

awesome trip so far, and I am excited to see what the future holds for my channel.
I decided to make another low jump video for my 100 subscribers special because my last one did not have the best low jumps, and I wanted to redo all of the bad low jumps I did in my last video. As you may notice, I did not get low jumps from EVERY course, but I got most of them. Most of these are just low jumps that I felt like improving from my last video. The second rainbow road clip was not the best, but I just wanted to show the ending cool trick. I also threw in a nice wallcip on peach beach.

Anyways, about the run. This was alright I guess, pretty good considering I beat destroy and estaloy by over 3 seconds. There are some improvement areas however, such as the ending strat and the turn before the cannon. The shortcut could be better too on lap 2. Here are the splits:

The laps are different because of the shortcut at the end of the lap. Also, sub is possible if I improve each lap some.
Anyway, about my channel and about my future uploads. I am not planning on doing any tafs in the future because I havn't been very successful with them so far. Also, there are plenty of people doing them and it makes me feel horrible when I compare my tafs to neo dodge's.
As far as what Im going to do, I think I'm going to stick with tases for now, and beating some tough bkts so I can feel more proud of my runs. Also I just want to make better quality stuff before I upload since I have set higher standards for myself lately. That means I will not be uploading as frequently for now on. Im also busy irl as you can tell from my inactivity on yt for the past month or so.
Anyways, if you are still reading this, which many of you are probably not, hopefully you enjoy my run, and I will probably be tasing something that reo has tased lately to compare times with him. :P You guys might not think I'm not good enough for that but I think if I dont get lazy in the middle, I can on some tracks.

anyway, I think this tas is pretty good overall, but there are a couple of things to note. First, it may look like the first turn had a terrible line but I couldnt do anything about it because there were a few invisible walls.
Second, I tried to do a strat off of the second to last jump, but it turned out it was not faster at all because I had to re-align my wheelie before the boosters. That was a mistake by me. Anyway, I dont know what my next vid will be but I know that I will upload soon. :)
