As many others have stated in regards to this song, I love the progression from plucky and childish to serious and climactic. It does a great job in turning a 60 second melody into something that doesn't get old on repeat. In remixing it, I tried to recapture a lot of the style from Super Mario Bros. 3, which was also composed by Koji Kondo. The biggest similarities here are probably found in the game's battle theme.
