The Flayer is a legendary shotgun from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It is a a double barreled Jakobs shotgun with a pretty standard spread pattern.
I quite like it with Zer0, and I'll have to see how it compares to a Citrine Coach Gun. Overall, the weapon is quite powerful, performing on par with other high tier Jakobs shotguns in Borderlands 2.
It definitely does not suck and I plan to keep this weapon as the optional replacement for the Tidal Wave, which is just a bummer of a weapon. Tidal Wave review with buff: youtu.be/Fotb6RX8YS0
