The Pitchfork is the legendary Dahl sniper. It is most commonly drop from Terramorphous, the raid boss from the vanilla game. Because Terra has a large, varied loot pool, it is one of the rarer legendary weapons in the game.
The Pitchfork has a strange spread where it shoots five pellets in a horizontal line that remain a constant distance apart. It consumes two ammo per shot without the patch, and one ammo per shot with the patch. Being a Dahl weapon, it does burst fire when aimed down sights. It has a burst size of five with all Dahl parts.
It's obviously broken with the Bee shield, but there are better options among snipers if you're going that route.
With its ammo consumption problems solved, this is now a very high tier sniper.
