I had another round with the Arlo scammers and they were still ill-tempered. Some 7 seconds into the first call, the scammer already said "Listen To Me!"
These Arlo scammers, while still very dumb, have become quite the pest. Their numbers remained online for weeks as was confimred by @BeaHindebars This is sadly one of the harsh realities of dealing with fraud. There are many responsible telecoms that do act upon any abuse reports that are sent to them. In the case of the Arlo scammers, we dealt with the other side of that coin - the telecoms that do nothing to stop scammers from abusing their services. We were trying many different tactics over the weeks on these numbers but for some reason, just calling them was enough for the scammers to finnally ditch this number. This would continue as another round of abuse reports were sent. This time, we got responses and some 9 numbers were eventually shut down. One number had to be called until they ditched it and 2 more Text Now numbers were also terminated for fraud.
Sadder still, it's literally the same small group of scammers from the previous recordings. I was told to "find a life" from one of the scammers, nevermind the fact that he was telling me this while being stuck in a smelly call center in the wee hours of the Indian morning and having to deal with constant prank calls from other baiters. Just let that sink in. I was told to get a life from a scammer who basically sleeps all day and has no life.
