Bluetti said the Elite 300 has no expansion capability. Technically true — there are zero OEM expansion ports. Practically? I just hooked 10kWh+ of cheap third-party LiFePO4 to it through a port they didn't think anyone would use this way. In this build, I take advantage of the Elite 300's XT60 DC/PV input and feed it from two stacked 51.2V Wattcycle server rack batteries — bypassing the OEM-only expansion ecosystem and adding ~10 kWh of cheap, scalable backup capacity to a "non-expandable" power station. I'll also show you how to bolt on an external MPPT charge controller for up to 2,000+W of additional solar (vs the stock 1,200W input), how to configure PV Priority UPS mode in the Bluetti app, and the golf cart battery alternative that gets you better $/Wh if you don't need server rack form factor.
