In a recent publishing on the federal register the ATF dropped its proposed changes to the firearm transaction record, 4473, form. This is the form you fill out when you buy a firearm from a licensed dealer, and is used to conduct your NICS background check. The ATF also dropped a sample draft of what it would look like.
