Hello Everyone. In this video, I will show you how to make a hologram scanner with a translucent material in Unreal Engine 4.
This was inspired by the wrist scanner from Mass Effect Andromedia.
With this effect, you can highlight and outline meshes in the world. Using the custom depth and custom stencil masks. This is an advanced material tutorial for Unreal engine 4

So we will be using edge detection in unreal engine 4 to draw our outlines then we will
be using custom depth node and custom stencil node to give multiple colors to our outlines.
We will also learn how to turn them into selection outlines. When you click on an actor the outlines will appear.

Hey Everyone, In this Unreal Engine 4 post-process material tutorial, I will show you how to make an effect similar to the world de-res effect from the bullet train game. Here we are dissolving the world in different passes to show fewer and fewer details until the world completely vanishes into a world mapped gird. We are using world position, Virtual plane co-ordinate nodes and world aligned texture node. We will also be creating post-process outlines in UE4.

Hello Everyone in this tutorial I will show you how to make an invisibility effect. So Basically our character mesh will dissolve into an invisible/stealth mesh. We are achieving this by using two ue4 material effects one is the dissolve effect and the other one is a refractive material that I created and we are blending them together using the blueprint and a child mesh. You can use the texture form the started content or loan some of the free texture I will provide you with to customize your effect to your liking.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to make a custom dissolve effect in unreal engine 4. this is an advanced material effect for ue4. In this, you can use a cube shape, a sphere shape and cylinder shape to dissolve objects.
We will be using nodes such and boxmask-3d, sphere mask and draw line 3d within unreal engine 4 material editor.
The edges looks like fire because we are using the fire texture but you can use other textures like the smoke texture. We will be making three material functions in this tutorial

So in this effect when the first person projectile hits a mesh the mesh will disintegrate from that location. This is achieved using a sphere mask and a noise texture. This tutorial is similar to my disintegration effect tutorial.
There is always 10 noise texture for my patrons on patreons.

Hey Everyone, In this tutorial, I will show you how to make the Cave fog of war effect from sekiro shadows die twice. So in that game when you move through really dark cave your visibility is reduced and you can only see a little bit in all direction, But you can also see lights that are far away from the player.
So in this tutorial, we are going to use a sphere mask to make the fog and then we will extract the lighting information to make a mask for the lights so they are visible far away from the light.

So with this effect, you will be able to highlight friendly characters, Enemy characters, Weapons Pickups, Environmental Stuff and many more using different colors to identify them,
You can also see them through the wall. As this post process material will allow us to render meshes through walls.
And during the enhanced vision effect, the world will change a bit also.
This was inspired by games like deus EX and witcher 3

Painted World or Brushstroke effect. Hello Everyone in this video I will show you how to make a watercolor-like painting effect in Unreal Engine 4 using a post-process texture and a normal map to distort the UV's of the post process texture and we will be also using custom depth to isolate our character mesh from the post-process effect. In this effect, the whole world looks like it's been painted on.

Hello everyone, In today's tutorial, I will show you how to make this mesh aura effect. This effect happens on the mesh itself and we are not using a shell mesh around our original mesh to get this effect. The main component of this tutorial is the Fresnel node. With it we will get a normal glow around the edges of the mesh, A grid coming down the mesh and also an Electric or Energy Effect using a grid with UV distortions, This can also be used for a flame/fire or ice effect by replacing our textures and adjusting the parameters , I hope all of you like it.
