The 2024 Lotus Emira (V6 sport chassis) and the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 could not feel more different, even though they sit in a similar price range of $110K , are both mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive, and have double wishbone suspension in all 4 corners. The Emira is all about purity, hydraulic steering feel, and supple chassis and suspension tuning to handle rough roads. The Z06 is louder, sharper, and built around one of the most special engines you can buy today. Driving them back to back shows two completely different philosophies on what a sports car should be, one very British, the other very American. Which one gets it right?
