I may have worked up my entire rectangle for my super chunky ear warmer, but since I haven't found a seaming technique that I love with this particular stitch pattern, I've decided to frog it and rework it with a few solid rows of single crochet at both ends to remove some bulkiness to work better with my favorite twisted join and be more comfortable when worn.

To determine how many pebble rows I need to change to single crochet rows, I will do a mock up holding the seam in place with my fingers to see where the join ends when turned to the front side.

Now I know I'll work 3 rows of single crochet on each end.
