A daily cup of coffee is more than a routine. It is history, culture, agriculture and craft in one sip.
In this video, David Gonthier, associate professor in the University of Kentucky Department of Entomology, introduces the Coffee, Science and Culture Certificate and the UK Coffee Lab at the UK Horticulture Research Farm. You will see how students learn about coffee’s global supply chain, roasting and brewing, sensory science and the stories behind the beans.
Pending final institutional approval, students will be able to pursue the certification starting in Fall 2026.
