Marriage is more than a relationship. It is a God-ordained covenant that joins two lives, two purposes, and two people together.
That’s why Scripture warns us, “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.” (2 Corinthians 6:14)
When two people are moving in different spiritual directions, that difference can create tension where there should be unity.
Who you marry matters because you don’t simply share a life with that person. You become yoked to what they carry, including their values, responsibilities, and challenges.
Before you say “I do,” make sure you understand what you’re saying yes to.
