A black bear has been caught casually strolling into a Colorado fire station, grabbing a gear bag and making a quick getaway.

Firefighters had some fun with the unexpected theft, joking that “Smokey” had decided to take over, while using the encounter as a reminder to keep food, rubbish and anything else tempting to bears properly secured.
