In this video I will walk you through the initial setup of your @mintion BeaglePrint remote 3D print host camera as well as show you how to perform a firmware update. It is important that the firmware update is one of the first things you do with your BeaglePrint unit so that you have the most up to date features available to you.
The BeaglePrint device is essentially a remote 3D print host similar to what you would achieve using a Raspberry Pi and Octoprint. However, this all-in-one package comes ready to go out of the box. Just set up your wifi, connect to your printer, and you are more or less ready to remotely connect to your 3D printer and monitor it. The camera features 1080p resolution and amazing night vision capabilities with the IR sensor.
Capturing time lapse videos is make extremely easy. A few clicks and you're all set. The timelapse photos are automatically combined at the end of your print you simply download the mp4 video file.
At the end of the video I will share with you my thoughts and opinions of this device based on my personal user experience. I hope you find my opinions insightful and helpful in making a decision whether or not this product is right for you.
Additionally, I have designed a tripod mount for the BeaglePrint camera for tripods with the cam lock / latch style mounts. I find that this is one of the best ways to set up the camera for timelapse videos. Many other designs using articulated arms are not very sturdy and the vibrations and movements lead to poor quality time lapse videos. You can find those design files here:
