One of the things she was really passionate about was making Project Linus quilts. Project Linus is an amazing charitable organisation, that encourages quilters to make quilts for children who might be in need of the sort of comfort a quilt can bring! From newborns to teenagers. So using a fat quarter bundle that had been sitting in a drawer for some time, and some leftover fabric of my Mum's, I made some Irish Chain quilts for Project Linus. I will pop a link to their website below, so perhaps you or someone you know could make some quilts for them as well!

Take care, Love, Kate xxxThe FREE SPIRIT Hexagon Cushion: a Tutorial from The Last Homely HouseThe Last Homely House2023-04-16 | As many of you who have been sitting on The Lime Green Sofa for a while will know, I have been working on a hexagon quilt for my Granddaughter Agnes since before she was born (she turns four this year!) And while many of the videos I have made in this time, to do with hexagons, have been tutorials - we thought some of you might enjoy a HEXAGON KIT in The Last Homely House shop!
So here it is - a Free Spirit charm pack, in one of 4 colour ways, with a pack of paper templates, a reel of Aurifil grey 50 weight thread, colour 2600 and a colourful booklet explains how to put your cushion together. All of these are packed into The Last Homely House Project Bag where you can store your hexagons when you are not working on them! Pop over to The Last Homely House shop to take a look, if this sounds like your sort of thing!
On the website you will find a new page - Kate's Supplies - where I am adding the things I use all the time. If you have a question about what I use in my video, you might find the answer there.
