Turns out Mario isn't really that famous, nor who he deals with every 2 years.
Key Notes: - Eat the cake for a quick heal before the battle. If you don't eat it (I didn't for the second time showing the battle against Bowser), Shellshock will eat it while you're away and call you an idiot.
(Optional) Boss: Bowser HP: 30 - Attack: 3 - Defense: 1 - This is actually an optional boss. Whether you win or lose, it doesn't matter, as long as you fulfilled the previous fight's victory requirement to advance your rank. - All of his attacks deal 3 HP of damage. - His bite can inflict poison. - If Bowser can crush Mario, he will cancel out use of an action command for 2 turns. - He can also release a fire breath that hits both team members.

It's a battle that you can't win, unless you were to somehow get a very convenient solution...
Key Notes:
Yoshi Kid (name official from Super Smash Bros.) - Okay, time to discuss this one a bit. - Firstly, the color this Yoshi shows up is NOT random. From the moment you get him at the hot dog stand to the moment you flee from the Iron Clefts (exactly that moment), a hidden in-game clock stops. Depending on how long you were with the egg before the battle you have to flee from, it'll come with a designated color. The time frames and colors (hair styles are locked to the colors) are as follows: 0 - 6 Minutes = Green 6 - 9 = Red 9 - 12 = Blue 12 - 15 = Orange 15 - 18 = Pink 18 - 19 = Black 19 - 20 = White Colors: http://www.mariowiki.com/images/7/76/Yoshi_kids.PNG - If the internal clock goes over the white Yoshi's time, it resets back to green and resumes from there. - As you can see, it's "easier" to get the green Yoshi because it's got more time than the rest (assuming you make a beeline for the 10th rank battle and try to skip dialogue). Getting red, blue, orange, or pink has a smaller window of 3 minutes each, while black and white have an abysmally short time of ONE minute each (so my first time was white (yay! but ugh), so I took the time from the recording of said time, figured out the difference, and got green Yoshi). - If you want to manipulate the color you want, have a timer ready, see which color you get, and from there, figure out how much time you need to pass before you flee the Iron Clefts. Easier to get green, but harder to get the last two. - Anyway... - The Yoshi Kid has a basic attack that reminds a player about Bow from the previous game, but whereas she was sadly useless against enemies with one point in Defense, the Yoshi Kid can actually boost himself to make his basic attack deadlier. - His Gulp attack bypasses all defenses, so use that to defeat the Iron Clefts.

And so begins Mario's climb through the ranks...
Key Notes: - In the GCN version, the Game Boy Advance terminals didn't have the start up tune when turning on the console. - There are ZERO roaming enemies in this chapter. All enemies are fought at the arena through mandatory battles. Unequip any badges that give bonuses after beating an enemy on the field. - As usual, you can only find enemies exclusive to the chapter...though the second half takes some liberties in including enemies found in later chapters or special areas, so watch out. - Pull the special conditions of each fight to ascend the ranks. If you don't, you won't move a rank or go lower, even if you run or get defeated. - As you ascend several ranks (and fame) at a time, the people outside the arena will say different things as encouragement (or mocking comments). The fighters at the lockers ALWAYS say different things with each single rank to move up. - Also, exclusive to the Switch version, you can partake in exhibition matches against rivals you have already beaten.

Time to descend to the halfway point of this place to get a sweet upgrade.
This descent began right after clearing Chapter 2.
Key Notes: - The pit contains enemies from either each progressive chapter, or it shows unique enemies that you won't find anywhere else. - Though some badges are worthless here, badges that can increase hearts, flowers, or money can help when beating an enemy to replenish resources. Consider using the Money Finder badge (from the Star Piece merchant at the underground town) for the early floors. - Every now and then, you can end up at a floor with a Mover Puni who can help you skip floors for a little fee. *Just don't skip past 10th floors or you'll miss their rewards.* - Also, a random merchant may show up every 10th floor to sell wares, but be careful, because he may sell items more expensive than usual. - In the GCN version, beating enemies on one floor never gave you a coin bonus. This was changed probably to make things easier using money for the Mover and the merchant. - (FYI, neither the Mover or the merchant appeared to me again or once in this run.) - The first 10 floors have some enemies from the prologue and Chapter 1.

Key Notes:
Triumvirate - You're dealing with ALL three King Salmonids at once in a very chaotic battle while still dealing with other lesser Salmonids...so pray you don't fight them in a small area. - Since this is a life-or-death situation, your team will be given random Grizzco weapons...so pray you're given the right ones. - Though it seems you won't have enough time to defeat all three, they are not excused from friendly fire, which is why Megalodontia can be detrimental to its other allies as it can damage them a fair deal when lured to chomp on them (its chomping attack can even make Horroboros's bomb explode in one hit). Luring the chomper to the other bosses is crucial to eliminate them quickly. - Try to damage the other two first and deal with Megalodontia for last, unless of course you have inflicted enough damage to beat them all. - Regardless of your performance, battling these three during this event will triple your rewards, making this a good way to grind for resources. - If you beat them, you'll get a special badge for it. But if you also beat them while at Hazard Level MAX, you'll be given a special decoration by Mr. Grizz.
