Passive Radiator Flex | XT-8 driver in REL T7i Subwoofer barevids 2023-05-01 | My friends REL T7i failed dramatically when the amplifier section blew, sending full DC rail to the original driver completely cooking the coil. I repaired the amplifier board, and options for a replacement driver were limited due to the driver OD cutout in the enclosure, so I settled for an inphase XT8 that used exactly the same stamped basket as the original driver, and is a great value sub for how well it performs. It's actually a little underpowered by the plate amp here, but the limiting factor is the PR xmech so more power wouldn't really help and would require a HPF to prevent damage to the PR. It sounded fantastic for such a small package!
