Here’s a siege tactic in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord that can make a huge difference. Instead of building and deploying trebuchets one by one, build all four and keep them in reserve.
Once they’re ready, place them on the battlefield at the same time. This lets you hit the enemy walls with full force, break them down faster, and avoid losing your siege engines to catapults early on.
When the walls collapse, your troops can storm the castle through the breaches. No ladders, no narrow gates, just a straight fight inside.
But it’s not without risks!
It takes time to build all four, and enemy armies might show up before you’re ready. And once those walls are broken, they stay broken. If you get attacked again, the enemy can charge straight through.
