Built around NaturalMotion’s physics technology, every tackle felt unique, every collision looked different, and the game delivered some of the most satisfying hits ever seen in a football game.
The behind-the-player camera gave the game a completely different feel, making every run, pass, and tackle feel more personal and immersive.
Was it perfect? No.
But even fifteen years later, people are still talking about Backbreaker’s physics engine and wondering why modern football games haven’t adopted more of its ideas.
