(trying to get better at my sound, sorry for the shit harmonies) --- Recently, I worked with the guys at Those Bros. Entertainment on a game, "Downloaded: Fragments of a Forgotten Soul". It's got a lot of my older stuff, and one exclusive track I wrote for them! Finale (Jetkick Remix)Jetkick2016-12-31 | This is a track based on a lovely piano piece by Sylvester Draggon Jr., which I had the fortune of stumbling upon on WeeklyBeats two years ago. Since then, I've had this tune stuck in my head, and as with all tunes stuck in my head I had contrived a drum & bass track from it. The result is a humble tribute to the genius behind it.
Hey, everyone! Got a new track for you today, and it's drum & bass again! Finally! Last time I released something drum & bass was a year and a half ago, and I haven't been able to finish any others since then. WeeklyBeats has kept me productive by simply making me finish what I have done and move on to the next project.
That being said, I'm very pleased with these results. I hope you enjoy!
Here's my first track for WeeklyBeats 2016, and for this year!
This track is about struggling with apathy and inactivity, and wanting to get back into the flow of things. It's something that happens to me with my musical endeavors, and it kills me because I'm always composing in my head (whether I want to be or not) and I don't want to let my fans down. For the last five years the technology that I use has been both the conduit and the bane of my creative efforts, and I've not progressed to the point that I wanted to be right now. This year I want to train harder, and let the tools be an extension of myself rather than a roadblock.
Hey, everyone! This is one of the tracks off of my recently released Waiting Right Here EP, which I included in my set at Urealms 2 on Friday! It was an awesome experience and I do hope I can perform in the area again sometime. This one's a little different in that I tried incorporating vocals. I realize it's not up to par with other vocal tracks out there so I've also included an instrumental version on the EP, which you can find above!
Lyrics: Seven eighteen in the morning I haven't slept since... well, who knows when The bench is empty, as is the station And this is how I start my day again
I follow each train passing by Tomorrow comes and it says goodbye And even then, I don't ever catch a glimpse of you I might as well be a vacant hole 'Cause even hell couldn't claim my soul You look inside, and you'll find that you see right through
Watching the dawn turn into dusk Rails begin to rust And all that keeps me running through the hours Is the thought that maybe I could find you Here
Chorus: And when I think of you The future is so crystal clear We're gonna make it through You know that I'll be waiting right here And when I see your smile The fire in me lights anew I know it's worth the while You know I don't mind waiting for you
Waiting for you You know I don't mind waiting for you Waiting for you You know I don't mind waiting for you
And so I sit here, passing by the days and weekends Another month flies by, another month I stayed And so I sat here, feeling the temptation creep in As my simple reason for keeping put begins to fade
My battered senses losing track of time My scattered tenses keeping backwards rhyme I can't recall, does forever happen then or now? I fear the solace that I take in fate Is getting smaller every minute that I spend in waiting I'm ticking and ticking and ticking as I talk out loud
Watching the walls turn into dust Years and years of trust And all that keeps me from running from my problems Is the thought that maybe I could see you Here
Chorus: But when I think of you The future is so crystal clear We're gonna make it through You know that I'll be waiting right here And when I see your smile The fire in me lights anew I know it's worth the while You know I don't mind waiting for you
Waiting for you You know I don't mind waiting for you Waiting for you You know I don't mind
All of the struggle I've been through Fades with love for you When I promised you I'd wait for you forever, I-
Seven eighteen in the morning I've been awake since- well, never mind I get the feeling my heart's been aching Another thing I'm sure will pass with time
(Repeat First Chorus)Jetkick - ComfortJetkick2014-06-30 | Here is a little bit of filler (more or less an embellished voice-leading exercise gone astray), and a brief announcement of music to come.
I'm gonna be playing a short set at 2 Alices Coffee Lounge in Cornwall, NY on July 18th with my friend Parallelis (http://www.soundcloud.com/parallelis) and a number of other artists I do not personally know. This set's gonna feature some new tracks I've been trying to get just right, and I'll be selling an EP featuring those tracks on Bandcamp, name-your-price style (you'll be able to type in "0" and get it for free, I really don't mind).
I've also invested in a new desktop which I desperately hope to get some sweet software for and really make some good tunes. Let's see if I can start making some professional-sounding music in the near future (or at least be able to fake it, hehe).
Fingers crossed! Comments and critiques encouraged.
Track artwork by me (again, this is filler).

Really sorry I haven't been releasing tracks lately; school and stuff have been a little rough recently. Here's a piece I did as a submission for Sapporo International Art Festival's Urban Soundscape Competition! I realize that it's not so much a soundscape as it is a song with numerous background samples in it. That being said, I approached this in the best way I know how, and I'm happy with how it turned out.
Enjoy! Comments and critiques always welcome.

(Below is the 250-word summary I wrote up for the entry. It's super pretentious, but I think it makes me sounds like I know what I'm talking about.)
"Cycles" is a short piece that reflects upon the modern-day coexistence of nature and people, and is influenced by sounds from both the urban and the organic. The piece as a whole is ornamented with numerous theme-based samples, intricate countermelodies and polyrhythms, and neat, crisp percussion. Above all, this piece aims to be catchy, and provide easy-listening atmosphere in a meaningful way. The first half of the piece is marked by simple piano melodies arranged polyrhythmically and a flowing string quartet section, played over an upbeat synth chord progression. Sounds of life, from a restless outdoors to a bustling city crowd, can be heard in the background. This is followed by a short buildup to the second section, which exposits the second section's driving chord progression. One minute and twenty-eight seconds into the soundscape, the piano melody counts its beats and takes its pitches according to the sequence {1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21} (the first eight naturally-occurring Fibonacci numbers, with "1" = one eighth note = scale degree 1). This oddly syncopated melody conforms well to the vi -- IV -- I -- V chord progression. The last section brings back the "bustling city crowd" section and represents it with comfortingly jazzy piano chords offering closure. The soundscape ends cyclically with a callback to the simple melody from the beginning of the piece. The sound logo paired with this piece harmonizes the bustling crowd and forest samples to signify the theme, and ties it together with the beginning piano melodies.Noah Danielson - Floating Crow (Jetkick Remix)Jetkick2014-01-27 | FREE DOWNLOAD ON SOUNDCLOUD: soundcloud.com/jetkick/floating-crow-jetkick-remix Aww, late again. I need to invest in a computer that doesn't overheat during everyday tasks. This is a remix I did of a beautiful piece by a musically talented friend of mine. He doesn't normally do electronic stuff, but what he does publish is phenomenal. I wanted to work with the chords and vocals for this song and see if I could do somethin' just as cool with 'em. But that's up to you to judge! Comments and critiques welcome, as always. Lyrics: Scavenger crows Lined in rows Pin-on badges On their clothes Wearing the crowns they found
After dark city's a lark blanket black cover the park spilling on the ground
It cannot be believed Overkill, roadkill sign the deed Wind up underground
Rotting squrims Food for worms I don't think you ever gonna come to terms Can't you hear that sound
Ruby sings kiss the ring Who died and made you king Coils, thread, twine tightly wound
Mother of another brother How they keep you under cover Cellar doors without a lover Knock knock no one's other Keep an eye for spinning round and round

oh my god is this real life
So a fantastic guy going by the name of PeekingBoo (http://www.youtube.com/user/PeekingBoo) released a pack of stepfiles called Game Grumps Revolution early last summer, which featured many popular Game Grumps Remixes made playable DDR-style. Just yesterday he's gone and released the sequel, GREP (Grump-Step), which features two of my remixes and a ton more; all top-notch and available to play on your computer!
Visit the link to the video above and get your hands on this stepfile pack, even if you're not quite familiar with the game format! The video description gives you a great primer on setting the game up and playing these charts, all for free!
Sorry this got uploaded so late! Didn't get this video up before rehearsal.
Hey, everyone! I started this second track about two and a half months ago, and came up with this fun track. Expect some super-catchy riffs, a sickeningly happy chorus, and some very weird rhythmic inserts.
Note: The video shows the title as "Snow Tracks"; it should read "Snow Prints".
So I'm pretty excited to get into this thing called WeeklyBeats again. For those of you who don't know, WeeklyBeats is an online challenge for musical artists to publish one original track a week, and encourages users to listen to and comment on others' music submitted every week.
I've got a few more tracks I'm currently working on, and I'm hoping my work'll be a lot more refined this time around.
Started this track in May for some reason, and have recently been inspired to finish it up. The bass line serves as the melody for this track, but let me know how well I did at that. The synth settings I used for it produce some unpredictable results sometimes.
Thanks for listening, and I wish everyone a fantastic and musical new year!
For the friends and acquaintances I've made at college, both old and new. You have helped corrupt and better me into the oddball I am today. Thanks for everything, guys, and looking forward to another awesome year.

UPDATE: Contest's over! Though I wasn't close to winning, I'm actually quite pleased with my performance. Made it to, say, 59th place, in a competitions with hundreds of submissions. Not too shabby! Thanks to all who voted for me, I really appreciate it! (also free downloads now yay)
This is my entry for the Beatport Play remix contest on Fedde le Grand's "Rockin' N' Rollin'". Please vote for me, I would really appreciate it!

It's not the best, but it's what eight solid hours of work got me. Birds are silly. Game Grumps are silly. This song is silly.
