I use "Derry" almost exclusively because it is shorter than "Londonderry" and more used anyways. It is not for a political reason. (Londonderry is only used to refer to the County.) I will make a Civil War video, I just wanted to get A video out at least, and plus, they would be about the same length and I'm not making another 40-minute video. Thanks to @tjxure for the help and Violet :)

The group took its name from the fallen Black hero George Jackson, who was murdered by Police allegedly escaping prison in 1971. The group consisted both of Anarchists and Communists, yet no internal issues sprang up, and the group remained relatively stable and capable even after the disaster of the Janaury 23rd robbery in 1976, in which the downfall of the group began. On March 21st, 1978, the remaining members were arrested before they could carry out a final robbery, and the group ceased to exist. It possibly had connections to another group, the New World Liberation Front (NWLF) which can be seen in member and action history.

Song used: Mama Call (Manu Chao)[INACCURATE] (Read Pinned Comment) Insurgency in Québec Every Day/Month (1962-1972)pepitá2023-07-11 | Since the days of the French colony, Québec experienced neglect constantly, being given away to the English in return that France could keep a small Caribbean Island called Guadalupe. Despite this, the settlers remained loyal to their history, which all changed once the English arrived. From that point onward, the language was systematically oppressed and attempts to phase it out experienced fierce rebellion by the Frenchmen. With the impacts of the cold war, and the popularization of communism in Québec, a series of armed groups formed which culminated in the unification into the group known as the Front de Libération du Québec (FLQ). A rapid rise to power began, with bombings, kidnappings, and arson attacks becoming increasingly normal occurrences. Up until October 1970, the group experienced relative support from France, Canadian Communists, and the Québécois. However, from the 5th of October to around the end of December of 1970, their most infamous attack occurred. 2 hostages were taken in October, starting the October Crisis. From here, only one would survive. The circumstances of the hostage who was killed, named Pierre Laporte, are still debated on whether he was killed by the FLQ on accident, by the police/army, by the FLQ on purpose, and vice versa. By the 3rd of December, the final hostage, James Richard Cross, was finally released by the FLQ. After this, the group basically collapsed. Attempts within the group to spring it back to activity failed, and by 1972, the group was fully dismantled. One of the most controversial things on the side of the Canadian government during the October Crisis was the enactment of the War Measures Act, which stripped Québécois of their rights when faced with the Police and Army, who conducted forced searches and mass arrests during the period. The enactment of the act was seen by the majority of people in Canada as an overreaction and would pave the way for future controversies within the government.

Special thanks to alehandro_2283 for assistance on the map of French control in 1700.Sandinista Revolution and Aftermath (1961-1990) Every Month)pepitá2023-05-01 | With the success of the Cuban Revolution, and previous small guerrilla movements aimed at overthrowing the Somoza Dynasty in Nicaragua, many were starting to turn against the government, looking for any way out of the brutal regime. Originally titled the FLN, the FSLN quickly grew into prominence and would eventually put heavy strain on the government. By 1979, the USA evaluated that the war was lost and ordered the country to be handed over to the Sandinistas. Upon entering Managua, the population of Nicaragua rejoiced as they were finally free, though little knew the pain that was to lay ahead. By the end of 1979, the first "Contra" groups, or Contrarrevoluciónes, formed. Among the first, was a group known as MISURASATA. Originally, MISURASATA was a pro-Sandinista Miskito indigenous group, though this quickly collapsed as the FSLN implemented rather oppressive measures on the Miskito peoples. The official moment the Miskito grew to resent and fight the FSLN government was in December of 1981, when Navidad Roja occurred. From here, groups like MISURA, KISAN, YATAMA, and FAUCAN would form to fight against the government. Among the borders from North to South, groups such as the UDN-FARN, FDN, and ARDE were in control, with support to the contras coming from Honduras, Costa Rica, and the USA mainly. Over the course of the war, the Contras would come to ruin their reputation worse than the FSLN, carrying out crime against humanity on civilians, most of which involved a form of torture. Both the Contras and FSLN were unfortunately involved in the cocaine trade, though it was much more prevalent within the Contras. Despite years of fighting, the Contras were never able to truly start a civil war, failing to form not only an opposing government, but to gain large swads of meaningful territory past the Honduran and Costa Rican borders, with most of their camps being located in Jungle in Nicaragua or across the border. By the late 1980s, the groups attempted to unify, being stuck in loops of internal conflict and general chaos, culminating in the collapse of their ability to win against the FSLN government. In 1990, elections were held and Daniel Ortega lost, ending the conflict as many Contras decided to lay down arms because Ortega was out, though some still remained as Recontras and Recompas due to their post-war situation. Since the end, very little major actions be Recontras and Recompas have happened, with control being nonexistent and support also being so.

As Che Guevara finished up his business in the Congo, Cuba, and other countries, a new opportunity emerged. Despite the hesitation of his close friends on whether or not to start a Guerrilla War in Bolivia, he soon arrived after developing a structure for his group. In November, he officially founded the Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN). The ELN would be doomed from the start, plagued with desertions, unexperienced members, disloyalty, and sickness. Along with this, they lacked full public support, no aid which had been expected arrived, and the CIA eventually got involved. Furthermore, Che eventually lost his ability to send messages to Cuba, and at worst, he lost the ability to receive them. Che would also come to suffer from increasingly severe Asthma attacks which prevented him from truly leading the group to a full capacity. On October 8th, Che was captured by the Bolivian Army with the help of deserters and the CIA. On the 9th, he would be executed by Mario Terán as revenge for the ELN's killing of 3 of his friends during a firefight. He died at the age of 39.

This brings inspiration to their music, appearance, and most grave of all, ideology. As the 1900s began, Peru was fresh out of a war just like Bolivia, and a large portion of the early 1900s were territorial bickering and treaty making after decades of disputed borders. Furthermore, those in Loreto felt they were being neglected and revolted several times. Culminate this with political violence, such as the many coups, the APRA rebellion, and the soon to come border-wars with Colombia and Ecuador, and something interesting begins brewing. Inspired by other Latin American communist movements like Cuba, groups such as the ELN, MIR, and FIR formed in the 60s to start a guerrilla war. This failed, and the military then couped the government to implement leftist changes to prevent another guerrilla war. Once the 1975 coup happened, the writing was in the walls for a bloody civil war. That cam in May 1980, when Sendero Luminoso launched their first attack, and would start one of the bloodiest civil wars of 1900s in Latin America based on the ideals of Maoism and Gonzalo thought.

Ever since the foundation of Colombia, it has had an unstable past. Leaders, dictators, and civil wars were common among the early history of Colombia. This resulted in a tight power hold by the Liberal Party and Conservative Party, leading to usual violence between the two. From the late 1890s to the early 1900s, a series of violence between Liberals and Conservatives erupted. By the '50s, the Communist Party had also begun to rise in power, leading to a Liberal-Conservative alliance known as the National Front. Enraged, Communist guerrillas from La Violencia decided to abandon the peace deal and formed Republics in the mountains near the capital. In 1964, the Army invaded, and the FARC were born. From there on, a bloody conglomerate of Drug and Ideological hate was born, leading to the formation of the ELN, AUC, AGC, EPL, M-19, and other groups. Right-Wing Paramilitaries heavily involved in the drug trade against Left-Wing Guerrillas heavily involved in the drug trade. In 2016, the group FARC, or now renamed FARC-EP, made peace. The peace was soon broken by the next president and dissidents erupted out of the situation. The ELN and AGC are now the top dogs, but the AGC called a ceasefire in January of 2023, and the ELN have begun talks to begin one. The future is uncertain, but the past 100 years of Colombia's history have been unfortunate enough.

The Cabinda War is an ongoing low-level conflict between FLEC and Angola. Ever since Portuguese rule ended and the Angolan Civil War began, FLEC and Cabinda have been looking to separate. When the FAA/MPLA won the civil war, the Cabinda War began to look lost, as FLEC would barely gain any more land than they were losing, and many began to deflect. A ceasefire was declared, and FLEC barely owns any land now, making the conflict look as if it is to be an Angolan Victory.
