My version of the end credits music for Super Mario Galaxy, featuring the themes of "Tango with the Koopalings" (major key, happy version), "Cloudy Caper Galaxy" (darker, more sinister sounding), "Planet Boo Galaxy" (more of an enjoyable lullaby on oboe), and of course "The Mushroom Galaxy" to finish (a faster 3/4 waltz sound this time).
See if you can pick out the themes! (Annotations will help!)

We so divided, We so div-i-i-i-i-i-ded, This is how we fall united, See how green the grass is, How much brighter life is, On the other side
Earthquakes: rip apart the common ground, and, X-rays: but they won't take it layin' down, And heartaches: a resolution for New Years, It makes: the planet split into new hemispheres
BRIDGE: Oh, we so divided, We so div-i-i-i-i-i-ded, Oh, we so divided, We so div-i-i-i-i-i-ded,
CHORUS: This is how we fall united, See how green the grass is, How much brighter life is, On the other side
I'm scared to face what I know deep down is true, About me, (about me, about me)... But at least I try and have the courage to bear, The pain... the pain, the pain... So here you go blaming us for your ills... Making everyone else... Feel the hurt in yourself... (x3)
CHORUS: Hey, welcome, welcome to Anxiety Society, Where everybody’s enemy is their sobriety, Join in the fighting with feelings you’re hiding, More drinks, more drugs, we love Anxiety Society.
Your pride, your ego, must remain at an All-time high, (time high, time high, time)... What would it take for you to have the courage to bear, The pain... the pain, the pain... Your narcissism's like a man-made prison, But with clearing vision... You can see you're the one true victim... (x3)
Chorus x1
Smirnoff, Country Club, Absolut, medicine, Budweiser, sanitizer, Heineken and heroin, Red Bull cannibis, Sauvignon go on the piss, Lemon lime bittersweet, bitter pills, don't reminisce, Pabst Blue, methylated, white powder, sugar malice, Malcolm X has disco biscuits, have you tried his poison chalice? Beam with coke with glee and coke, and drink, inject, to feel the bliss, Feel the bliss (x11)...

If I can bully x3 If I can bully you If I can bully x3 If I can bully you too
It's so f***ing sad how sad you are, That you feel the need to stand apart from the pack, Like a jaguar, Throw the lasso far, throwin' out your rope, Who are we, antelope to you? Prey all you want, on the weak of mind, But with every last bite, hope you choke on the rind, And you'll find I'm as tough as you, If not tougher... And you'll see how you will suffer on the karma ride.
Pre-Chorus x1
CHORUS: Hey, sweetie, Everybody sees what you're doin' But courage is a goal I'm pursuin' Not gonna back down, not gonna see the back of me, Think you can bully us, well... Hey, lady, Everybody wants you devoured, Cos you put the 'cow' in coward, Not gonna give in, not gonna see the end of this, If I can bully you the way you bully us.
You're so short You're so ugly Deep down, nobody likes you, You're fucking weird You're a bitch with tits that are actually too big for your body, And it's actually funny, to look at you and your arrogant fucking face, When you shun me, and wonder what your parents were thinking when they raised you, How does it feel to get what you deserve? To feel the pain that you dish out, When these words hit a nerve, I bet you're too dumb to see the irony, I would never choose to sink as low as you, you see You're proud of your shit, I know you think it stinks, But this music's my chance, To say what everyone thinks,
Do you forgive Roman Polanski, For what he did to that poor child? Echoing visions we cannot see, Is there a justice for their kind?
This little boy of six torn from the bricks and mortar of his family, A tortured heart, sustained in part with scraps in ghetto alleys, The empathy deficient, A surgical incision blade...
Creative soul borne of the rubble, hovered far from father's finding, And from the flames he rose to fame so fast the frames were blinding, A celebrated image Across the angel's village glade, where There was a once unfinished fate...
Chorus x2
So young, oh how it stung to see them take his baby, The mirror crack'd, a cur-sed act of doom, so cried his Lady, The victims multiplied, A haunting poltergeist appeared...
Do you believe the tragedies of yesteryear, they never settle? What must it take for us to break this dusty shackle metal? We've got to free the world, and Reclaim it for the girls and for the boys, and Reclaim it for the girls and for the boys...
Chorus x2
Oh, why do we do the things we do? x4

I know it's something you don't wanna hear That we turn to dust and disappear Forever, forever It seems a cruel reality That we can't cease our finality The darkness, the darkness

You hate what you don't understand Oh you hate what you don't understand You hate what you don't understand Oh you hate, oh you hate, oh you...
It's really easy to hate someone, It's such an easy emotion, your brain has fun, Cos you can fool yourself, can delude yourself, To believe you're better than everyone...
It's time for you to explore your mind, And question why you're so proud to be so blind, But it's a sickness, baby, it's a disease, And when you face the truth you'll put your mind at ease, oh...
We are what we do, Onus is on you, It's your responsibility, To look within and seek a new humility— Don't know what you don't know, But there's a glimmer of hope, Admit to your fragility Admit to your fragility
Be educated now Be wiser in no doubt And learn to hear that sound Just understand— There's strength in numbers now But don't follow the crowd There's only one way how If you understand—

Don't believe them when they show You who they really are, Don't you wonder how they're close, Without a trace of cigar? Warp the nature of living things, And don't deny them a scar, Law of madness, and when it rings, You make them think they're bizarre
Hey, iPhones (lovingly made from the blood of the ancient x2) Hey, get stoned (cos you paid for a life that was tainted x2) Follow, follow, fo-fo-fo-follow, Sympathetic to be apathetic, Hollow, hollow, hollow, hollow, Not pathetic if you wanna get it, get it, Game of Thrones, (Playin' games with the words that a saint said x2)

Burn all your photographs, Throw 'em in the fire— Forget all your memories, Object of your desire
Don't wanna see the back, Of anybody in the way, hey-ey— I'm gonna lose track, Of everything I had to gain, hey-ey
America the bold, America the brave, America the beautiful won't be saved— Estates of gold desecrate the graves, of all the children they enslave Who built the ship, who fed the coal, Who paid the price and who lost their soul, But you still hope for what they promise:
We can all be rich, yeah, We can all be famous, Please take all the money, Piece of cake, you can take your share— We'll exit wooden doors, Onto marble floors, Not a thing can stop us, cos we'll all be billionaires— Be a maniac, yeah, Don't give up your greenback! Don't you know the Lord said: There ain't profit in being fair— The wealthy they're adored, We'll trample on the poor, And not a thing can stop us, cos we can be billionaires—

Please enjoy!Mario Kart NX - Atoll Road (Dry Version) (Fanmade Music)BowieZ2016-05-16 | "Atoll Road" is the Manta-ray-shaped third course of the relatively easy Mushroom Cup, in my imaginary "Mario Kart NX" game. An atoll is a small island of sandbanks with ocean in the centre.
Risky drivers can skim across the water surface with the all-new Water-Ski functionality, so long as you can dodge the manta-rays and tricky currents... otherwise your engine will falter and you'll waste time sinking to the bottom.
If driving underwater, the Baby Unagi eels will slow you down unless you shake the controller at just the right time to earn an electric speed boost. But watch out for Mother Unagi! Also, if you nab the new Torpedo Ted item, you can fire down your opponents better than using shells.
And near the finishing line there's a stretch of sandbank under which you can drive upside down for some last-minute anti-gravity boosts!

This is a piece of music for a fictitious galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2, one where Mario shrinks to the subatomic level and jumps to and from orbiting electrons and spherical neutrons and all kinds of haywire frenzied madness where gravity isn't quite what it seems! In the molecular nucleus is a giant ticking clock face reminding Mario of his old-school Tick, Tock Clock days with the mechanical madness and playful pleasures of Toy Time Galaxy.
The music hopefully reflects the crazy nonsense awaiting Mario's arrival, with a ticking beat, clanking percussion and a whirring main theme. Pay particular note to the nod to the original Super Mario Bros. theme at 0:26-29, and I hope you enjoy the carefully constructed (and utterly insane) three-part fugue at 0:54 based on a variation of the Super Mario Galaxy fanfare!
One of the missions is to fix the clock... which seems to be resetting itself every 66 seconds instead of every minute! A power star must be jammed somewhere inside! Listen to the alarms sound as all hell breaks loose during the restart!
(Special thanks to Glem and Dacvak who gave feedback and helped with imagery.)

Probably not what most of my fans were expecting :P The theme is essentially a perfect (intervallic) "inversion" of the melody of Jacob's Theme, and I attempt to make it much more sinister than said music. For those who haven't heard it or are not familiar with LOST, I encourage you to check out "Jacob's Theme" and the rest of the LOST score on YouTube and purchase if able.

The first two levels are in the clouds... the other nine levels are... just that little bit higher... but only a star-sling away, of course =P
This is a New Super Mario Bros. (DS/Wii) style reworking of the new Koji Kondo theme from Super Mario Galaxy 2 (as heard in the E3 2009 trailer). It again concludes with my own composed section of music, from 1:02 to 1:31. See the orchestral version (for which this is a video response) for why I chose to write my own section of music to replace the Gusty Garden Galaxy tune. If you don't like it, then, well, go listen to the trailer, or to Gusty Garden Galaxy! =P
I didn't really remix this with a space theme in mind but I later decided that it makes sense!
BAHP! BAHP!
EDIT: Wow you guys are far too supportive. Thanks so much. Although Koji Kondo, Mahito Yokota, Shiho Fujii and Asuka Ohta deserve almost all of the credit for this one. :-)

--------------
Sit back; relax. It's serene and spectacular here... Mario's chilling out by the cool, cool waters of Freezeflow Galaxy. But if you feel like taking a trip to the planet's other hemisphere, feel free to pound the red switch and go for a nice skate... a graceful ballet Mario style.
The main theme of this piece is entirely my own, although it obviously draws some inspiration from Nintendo-style watery, peaceful music such as "Aquatic Ambience" (DK Country) and "Underwater Exploration" (Super Mario Sunshine) but ultimately it also has to reflect above-land travel, like "Jolly Roger Bay" (Super Mario 64) and "Space Junk Galaxy" (Super Mario Galaxy), with a general frostiness much like this galaxy's sister galaxy, "Freeflame Galaxy" (SMG). Those with a good ear may hear a familiar theme from SMG/SMG2 at one or two points...
Many thanks to jquijote999 for helping me out with the Japanese translation! Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support! :-)

Well, not literally, but you're listening to the music that plays during the castle at the end of each world of my imagined New Super Mario Bros. sequel, subtitled "Secret of the Dry Guys".
And it's a Koopaling who's waiting to meet you in the final chamber of each castle. Larry in the first world, Roy, Iggy, Morton Jr., Lemmy, Wendy O. and finally Ludwig von Koopa in the seventh world.
The shocking thing you'll discover is that Kamek transforms each of them into ominous, mask-wearing "Koopa Guys" (all thanks to the power of the the Shy Guy Power Stars). They each have special attacks similar to those found in past Mario games:
1. Larry Guy - spits bullets/seeds
2. Roy Guy - on stilts
3. Iggy Guy - with spears
4. Morton Guy Jr. - really fat and rolls around
5. Lemmy Guy - plays baseball
6. Wendy O. Girl - snorkels in the water below, causes tidal waves
7. Ludwig von Guy - floats around like a helicopter, drops bombs
(Note that the opening fanfare only plays during Bowser Jr.'s castle in World 8... although he's technically not a Koopaling, this track applies to his castle too =P).New Super Mario Bros. 2: Waltz Through Bowsers Castle (Fanmade Theme)BowieZ2009-11-07 | Mama Miii-aaaaa!! Mario's finally reached the pinnacle of his journey through my own imagined "New Super Mario Bros" sequel, subtitled "Secret of the Dry Guys".
The music begins with an eery prelude building up over a series of dramatic Beethoven-esque chords over a pedal bass note... all while Mario and Yoshi approach the ominous main castle entrance. As the door opens, the music launches into a chilling waltz-like theme, almost mocking our heroes: "muahahahaha" cries Bowser, as his fiendish traps perplex and punish those who dare set foot inside...
After a series of encounters with the Koopalings (no longer in their Koopa Guy form), one by one at the end of a series of each of 7 hazardous hallways, avoiding Kamek's attacks along the way, Mario eventually emerges inside Bowser's own leery lair, whereupon the ... secret of the Dry Guys... is finally revealed to him:
The skins of Shy Guys carry the essence of power stars, and Bowser and his son Bowser Jr. have been shedding hundreds of them and converting poor, innocent Shy Guys into boney, soulless Dry Guys. (You can tell apart these Shy Guy Power Stars because of their "o"-shaped mouths!) With a makeshift laboratory full of newly built power stars, Bowser can finally become invincible -- at least, long enough to outlive his archnemesis, Mario.
Only YOU can stop him, Mario. "I like you, my child... tee hee..."
On Mother & Child Mountain, in an era when Hyrule never flooded, Link comes across Glade, a young girl with a striking metallic sheen and a pointy head; someone he recognizes but doesn't believe he's ever met...
She is the Fairy Queen, and she believes she can help Link on his dire quest to enter the Dark World...
Glade, like other Great Fairies, has the ability to instill little magic fairies into weapons to bolster their powers, but she also reveals to Link that she has the power to ... herself enter Link's Master Sword ... as prophesied eons ago ... and become "The Mistress Sword"... a gloriously powerful yet fragile being that can protect Link from the threats of unknown might awaiting him.
"And so, I shall give new power to the SWORD that you wield... tee hee... ...... ME..."

It's a side-scrolling adventure that literally takes place ON a paper scroll, appropriately enough. Mario is drawn ONTO the page while the action leaps off the page!
It's a story of 8 mystical 'side scrolls' that once told an important story but have suddenly been wiped blank by an unknown force... Mario in full 3D uncovers the documents and uses Toadsworth's magic to jump into the first scroll... and the action literally unravels in front of him.
Mario is given a set of art tools (including pencil-and-eraser, paintbrush, scissors, pen, paintballs, glue, origami skills etc) that help him navigate through the unfolding story in dynamic ways, such as cutting up a piece of the scroll and gluing the strip from one scroll to another acting as a pathway. All of this would be done using Wii Motion Plus controls.
Fountain Pen Mountain is the fourth chapter, on the fourth scroll, and is where Mario uncovers the pen tool. I added visuals from Crag in Super Paper Mario purely cos they seemed the most relevant. It's a shame I couldn't get a music-free version so that the sound effects would come through. Ohwell. Hope you all enjoy :)
PS To all my loyal subscribers, thanks for being patient! Been studying my Masters in Creative Industries (Music and Sound major) degree this year (at Queensland University of Technology) so it's divided my time and resources... cheers :)

In this game, a full-scale battle begins to unravel across Hyrule and rumor has it that a Shadow Zelda -- not Ganondorf -- is its root cause.
I will be presenting a few fanmade music themes for this game. The first is "Scrubs Markets," a jaunty ditty played during Link's visit to the garden marketplace where the Deku Scrubs and their Scrub counterparts come from all the lands over to sell all sorts of natural and scrub-made goodies.
Link has come here to buy some tools for battle and just may end up enlisting the help of the Scrubs themselves.
Please be kind, this was my first Zelda-esque music attempt. If you have any requests, or constructive comments, please drop a line! Also, you may notice a reference to a previous Zelda theme in the background. Can you hear which one? (Thanks Neo for ideas help!!)
If you like it, please subscribe. :P

In this fictitious Super Mario Galaxy 2 level, a giant fire-ridden cathedral full of deathtraps and dastardly eruptions provides no solace for this churchgoing Mario.
This theme is somewhat experimental, as it's in 5/8 time and prominently uses a church organ to fit the environment and underpin the aggressive action.
Depending on which section of the galaxy you are in (the lava-locked cathedral moat and external regions or inside the gothic walls), the music fades between the full orchestral version and the solo organ version.
Hope you like it!

Thought it was about time to do something with a bit more of an Asian influence, so here is a FANMADE theme for the upcoming Street Fighter IV game!
It comprises a melody with a string ostinato that are played around and varied a bit, on top of lots of traditional ethnic percussion and a cool modern percussion break beat.
What ya think? ;) It's a bit retro as it should be IMHO, but also fully orchestrated and forward-looking.

Hot-foot it across the punishing scorched sand lands of World 4 ("Whirled Whirled West") and World 7 ("Dry Canyon") of my imagined "New Super Mario Bros" sequel, subtitled "Secret of the Dry Guys"!
This music is the overworld theme that accompanies most of the desert-themed levels. Yoshi's percussion underscore again returns (at 1:00), which would play whenever Mario is riding him. In fact, Yoshi's essential to navigate the steaming hot geysers and quicksand parts of these levels, thanks to his trusty protective red boots.
Game storyline: In this game, I imagine that the Mario brothers discover that the events of the first NSMB were merely an experiment: Bowser has been toying with immortality, and his transfiguration into Dry Bowser has given him great hope that he will finally be able to thwart Mario by... outliving him!
And so, after hearing rumors that the ancient unknown Dry Guys -- hideous skeletal Shy Guys -- have knowledge of an antidote to Bowser's immortality, Mario begins his onward journey!
But what IS the ... secret of the Dry Guys?

This music is the main overworld theme that accompanies most of the levels in these first two worlds, and occasionally in later worlds. To compose it, I spent the past three weeks drawing inspiration from ALL of the Mario main overworld themes, and there are certainly bits and pieces that are inspired by the original New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Super Mario 64, and of course Super Mario Bros. 1-3. But most importantly it definitely has my own touch, as it's a totally new theme with new ideas.
Yoshi's back! I decided to bring in some island percussion that plays whenever Mario is riding our helpful little green dino-dragon (1:40 onwards). Also note that the end of the melody (1:28-1:34) is a direct reference to the original Mario Bros. theme. Hope you like it!!

In this fictitious game, the Mario brothers discover that the events of the first NSMB were merely an experiment: Bowser has been toying with immortality, and his transfiguration into Dry Bowser has given him great hope that he will finally be able to thwart Mario by... outliving him!
And so, after hearing rumors that the ancient unknown Dry Guys -- hideous skeletal Shy Guys -- have knowledge of an antidote to Bowser's immortality, Mario begins his onward journey!
But what IS the ... secret of the Dry Guys?
This theme underscores Mario's submerged adventuring. Note the appearance of the very original Super Mario Bros underwater waltz, which plays underneath a harmonica rendition of my "Whirled Whirled West" theme.
Hope you like ^_^New Super Mario Bros. 2: Whirled Whirled West (Fanmade Theme)BowieZ2008-07-06 | Welcome to the Whirled Whirled West, the fourth world of a FICTITIOUS "New Super Mario Bros" sequel, subtitled "Secret of the Dry Guys".
In this game, the Mario brothers discover that the events of the first NSMB were merely an experiment: Bowser has been toying with immortality, and his transfiguration into Dry Bowser has given him great hope that he will finally be able to thwart Mario by... outliving him!
And so, after hearing rumors that the ancient unknown Dry Guys -- hideous skeletal Shy Guys -- have knowledge of an antidote to Bowser's immortality, Mario begins his onward journey!
But what IS the ... secret of the Dry Guys?
Taking place roughly halfway through the adventure, this piece would accompany Mario (and Luigi!) along a mildly challenging yet fun wild-west themed level, ravaged by dusty whirlwinds and host to the weapons-totin' Wild Guys who jump out from behind prickly cactuses guns a-blazin'.
I hope you like it! Thanks to Neo - again - for coming up with the basic story idea for this with me!Mario Kart Wii: Finish First & Race Results (Fanmade Theme)BowieZ2008-07-01 | Two new musical pieces have now been added to the fan-designed "Mario Kart Wii: Royal Prix" puzzle: a winner's fanfare (based on the main theme), and a cheery tune to accompany the victory lap and the tallying of the results.
Home to the third 'Pipe Cup' course of the fictitious fan-designed "Mario Kart Wii: Royal Prix" -- and the game's penultimate track -- Dry Castle is the creepy, sinister and neglected abode of Bowser's skeletal kin, Dry Bowser.
To depict Dry Castle and its groaning masterlord, I have conceived a rather experimental work: an epic rock waltz, in "3/4 time". This is not at all usual for Mario Kart music; every other Mario Kart music track in history has been in "4/4 time".
For those who have listened to my "Finale & End Credits" track, you may notice that this is indeed the same melody in a minor key. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwHk6jCfNwM to see how Dry Bowser's Waltz has been morphed into an uplifting finale theme!
The piece uses a mixture of guitar harmonics and Indian-inspired instrumentation to depict the ancient living-dead character of Dry Bowser, awash with its unrelenting spiralling arpeggiated accompaniment to suggest his internal insanity. Note the five heartbeats beginning at 0:48; these echo in Dry Bowser's wistful memory of the days he was "alive".

The second 'Pipe Cup' course of the fictitious fan-designed "Mario Kart Wii: Royal Prix," Piranha Park is a very challenging skate park course (almost as though it were a smaller, outdoor Wario/Waluigi Stadium) full of green half-pipes, full pipes and of course piranha plants inside and outside of pipes and everywhere else.
At the end of the concrete skating arena, pipe down to a dark subterranean underworld -- an overgrown hive of hungry piranha plants -- soon emerging out of a horizontal drain pipe overlooking a valley. Then it's a huge jump and an uphill hike back to the start.
Short-cuts can be managed by aiming a shell at one of a few piranha pipes that will lead underground sooner.
Musically, if you can't hear the many references to Mario pipes, then you have never played a Mario game. Yes, that's the theme from SMB3's "Pipe Maze" halfway through ;)
