Top 5 Web Browsers for Windows Vista in 2017/2018 (and beyond)

The browsers that are presented in this video were carefully chosen based on my current knowledge regarding the current state of third party support for Windows Vista in the year 2017. For this reason, you won't see the more popular browsers shown in this video, namely Google Chrome or Opera, since these browsers have long been discontinued on Windows Vista (not updated for nearly 2 years now), making them not a good long-term solution for Windows Vista users.
I'm not saying I'm an expert by any means, but given that I am the author of an MSFN.org forum thread titled "Last versions of software for Windows Vista/Server 2008", you really should take my advice if you want to continue using Windows Vista for the foreseeable future, as I still use the OS myself and have performed extensive research on Vista's current state of third party support, in order to create the aforementioned list.

After a small break, I have finally managed to transform Windows 98 into Windows 7. I feel that this is as close as it can possibly get, so I'm quite happy with this transformation.
NOTE: There are currently no Windows 8.x or 10 themes available for Revolutions Pack, so I'm going to have to make them from scratch, so the next transformation may not be uploaded until sometime in March 2017, depending on how long it takes me to do this.

Anyway, this is the first video in a series of videos I'm making called the "Windows 98 transformed into..." series. In this video, I have decided to go back and redo a project I did way back in 2013, as the first version was somewhat lacking in many areas. If you would like me to compile and upload a ZIP file that includes all of the modified Windows 98 system files to make it look exactly like Windows ME, tell me in the comments. If enough people ask, I will most likely do so.
As mentioned in the video, I will transform Windows 98 into Windows 2000 next, and perhaps I could go back and transform it into Windows 95 later, as that would actually be possible, however it wouldn't be very interesting if you ask me, but I can still do it if enough people ask and I have enough enthusiasm to do it.
For those that don't know, doing each Windows version by series will be how I do transformations from now on. This will not only create a better organized release schedule for everyone's convenience, but it will also take care of any requests that I have received over the past few years. While Windows 98 may be a limited OS to transform, things will really start to get interesting as I start doing Windows XP and Vista, etc. as there are a plethora of custom themes available for these operating systems.

REPLACING THE DLLS ONLY WORKS ON 64 BIT WINDOWS 7 SYSTEMS! Doing it on 32 bit would most likely cause your operating system to stop working correctly.

Also, another thing.. these files are for 64 bit systems only, as I was unable to provide 32 bit files at this time. However, you can still get Windows Media Player 11 on your 32 bit system by running "32 BIT ONLY WMP11_For_Windows_7.exe" and following the instructions. I included it in the transformation pack.

WinClient5270 2015-10-11 | I'm sure a lot of you recall I made a video a few months ago saying that Vista was a dead OS and basically exaggerated everything, well this is a video in response to that one, showing that VIsta is NOT dead.
If you are new to this channel and do not like Windows Vista, this video will hopefully show you that Windows Vista is not a bad OS, after opening a ton of my apps and 60 VLC clones, two virtual machines, and running the passmark performance test benchmark, all without a crash or freeze that Vista apparently does frequently.

Tutorial: How to set up Windows Server 2008 for workstation use (transform it into Vista)

WinClient5270 2015-03-10 | Well for the sake of people that are still clinging onto Vista and do not desire to use a newer OS, I made this tutorial on how to make Server 2008 a workstation-capable OS.
What are the benefits of using this over Vista?
Well, Windows Server 2008 will be supported 3 years longer than Vista, which means it will be supported until 2020, whereas Vista is only supported until 2017.
Also, Windows Server 2008 has been a much better performer than Vista for me, even with all the client features turned on, and it also uses little RAM by comparison. So moving to Server 2008 may very well boost the performance of your PC, and there's a highly noticeable performance boost if you're using an SSD (at least there was in my case).

Need help preparing your installation media?
If you want to burn your ISO to a DVD and install from there, use a program called ImgBurn.

For snipping tool, I have seemed to make a slight error in the instructions. Here's what they're supposed to say:
1.Create a new directory in C:\, SnipTool, and C:\SnipTool\en-US
2.Copy SnippingTool.exe to SnipTool
3.Copy SnippingTool.exe.mui to SnipTool\en-US
4.Copy attached slc.dll to SnipTool directory (use the one in x86 folder for 32 bit, or the one in x64 folder for 64 bit)
As for activation, the converter tool will allow you to reset it once the timer runs out.
There's also another tool available called Windows Loader which will activate it forever, but I will not give links nor will I include it, as I do not want to get in trouble for it (google it).

P.S.: I apologize for the slow and jumpy mouse movement in some parts, VMware Tools causes the mouse pointer to glitch in and out constantly when using it in the VM, so it was hard to keep it steady and as a result I sometimes unintentionally clicked on things I didnt mean to.

Windows Vista vs Windows Server 2008: Speed test and Memory Usage

Well shockingly, Windows Vista managed to beat Windows Server 2008 in the first couple of tests, but Windows Server 2008 clearly outshines Vista in most of the tests.

Not sure if your PC meets the system requirements? Here's how to check:
Open the Start menu, right click on My Computer, and select properties, and then your processor, clock speed (example, 1.5 ghz), and RAM (example, 2.0 GB) should be listed towards the bottom of the dialogue box. Then, comment here what you see there on your screen and I can further assist you from there.
How to check amount of hard drive space available:
Open the start menu and click on My Computer. Then, right click on your Windows XP drive (typically the C:\ drive labeled "Local Disk" typically) and click Properties in the drop-down menu. Then you should get a pie chart showing the amount of free & used space. Review the amount of free space, and there should be at least 15 GB free to upgrade to Windows Vista.

Upgrading from Windows ME to Windows 2000 Professional (100 sub special)

WinClient5270 2013-11-29 | So, Microsoft claims that upgrading from Windows ME to Windows 2000 isn't a supported upgrade path. Well, they were wrong. Windows ME can be upgraded to Windows 2000, however, somethings do not work, like Movie Maker. But it's still possible, since Windows ME has an older version number than Windows 2000.
Windows 2000, however, cannot be upgraded to Windows ME, so please don't ask.
