Still miles worse than what Tails can do given he can fly.The fault at the start is to better align the cycles. Also, this stage features the very rare useful Knux insta-shield! (an ability Knux only has in Competition Mode, to get back aerial mobility. Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Azure Lake Knuckles Glitchless: 1670 (Speed Run) Werster 2023-08-31 | Doing Competition mode ILs with Knuckles are basically the only ILs I haven't done in this game, so figured I may as well tick it off. Knux is sadly not the best for any stage in Time Attack - he has the middle speed and acceleration so he doesn't win out of either type of level. On speed stages like this one he does come second though, beats Tails quite comfortably. I already knew from testing Stadium 1 it'd be much faster, so thought I could get a better time than my N64 PB pretty quickly. But instead, I actually got a super solid run insanely quickly. Without question better than my N64 PB, this run probably comparable to roughly a 2:01 on N64. Sonic Advance - Casino Paradise 2 Amy: 0:47:22 (Speed Run) Werster 2023-08-23 | This level is most fun with Amy imo. But the boss is still luck based nonsense. For consistency, you can pause abuse you try and increase your chance of two cycling - but I decided to instead grind for not just any two cycle but a perfect 2 cycle, and to do that you have to guess the first cycle anyway, so pausing is pointless. And given that, I decided to forgo pausing the second cycle as you can get 2 hits on almost any pattern, and that way I could keep the run clean AND more optimised.Wasn't actually as much of a pain as I thought it'd be, got the pattern after a clean stage pretty quickly. Sonic 1 Game Gear - Green Hill 1: 315100 (Score Attack) Werster 2023-07-27 | Score Attacks in this game are very, VERY largely based around getting the highest time bonus. The highest is 300K, for getting under 20 seconds. The best time in this stage is 18 seconds, so you have 1 spare second to get extra score.Along with that, most importantly is getting the 10K bonus from the signpost. Doing this requires hitting the signpost at a *really* specific speed that is pretty slow, but not inching slow. Sonic Chaos - Turquoise Hill 1 Tails: 0:10 (Speed Run) Werster 2023-05-31 | Over the past 11 years, only 2 seconds have been improved on any Sonic Chaos IL. In November 2019 I improved Aqua Planet 1 Sonic by a second, and in December 2022, Zewing improved this stage to a 10.So I had to match it. It should go without saying, but there is very little leeway to get the 10 here.
