The Ultimate HALLOWEEN Cocktail - The ZOMBIE! Behind the Bar 2024-10-30 | If you're looking for a cocktail to turbocharge your Halloween, look no further! Invented by Donn the Beachcomber, it was said he enforceda two per guest Zombie limit as more than that “could make you like the walking dead”.This is the original 1930s recipe according to Jeff Beachbum Berry45ml (1 ½ oz) heavier Jamaican style rum45ml (1 ½ oz) lighter Puerto Rican style rum30ml (1 oz) overproof rum25ml (⅘ oz) lime juice15ml (½ oz) Donn’s mix*15ml (½ oz) falernum1 teaspoon grenadine4 dashes Pernod 1 dash AngosturaGlass: hurricaneGarnish: mint sprig*Donn's Mix: Add 1 part sugar and 1 part water to a saucepan, and add some crushed cinnamon sticks - around 3 cinnamon sticks per cup of sugar. Bring to the boil and stir to dissolve sugar.
