Recorded using WinVice. Here's a video with the music only, recorded on a real Commodore 64: youtube.com/watch?v=agW5txLLmQU
Video created for an article at http://www.spillhistorie.no/How to rescue shipwrecked sailors in Ports of Call (Classic)Spillhistorie.no2024-05-24 | We always hate when these guys show up, but after talking with Ports of Call creator Rolf-Dieter Klein, we finally figured out how to do it.
Sorry about the graphics here, we're playing the PC-version on Steam. Not the superior Amiga one with lovely colour cycling for the water, et.c.
"You have to drive with around same speed and DIRECTION towards the raft to rescue the ship wrecked. So the vectors should be within some degrees coincident." - Rolf-Dieter Klein.Micro Mouse Goes Debugging (Commodore 64, 1983)Spillhistorie.no2023-02-03 | Micro Mouse Goes Debugging by Lothlorien, published in 1983.
This is a weird but neat action game, where you have to complete the BASIC listings by fetching and placing the correct letters while avoiding annoying bugs (who also steal letters from the listing). Once a level is done, you get to see the program in action.
The version of this game that is widely available is unfortunately a bad crack that will not allow you to progress beyond the first level. The file you'll want to search for in order to run the game properly is MMDEB-1.TAP.
I did not manage to complete the game, but it looks like I was on the last level when I died.Detective (ASP Software, 1983) - Commodore 64Spillhistorie.no2022-11-18 | Another case of "there were no videos of this game on Youtube, so I had to make one". This is a simple Cluedo-inspired thingie. Would possibly be interesting with more players, but in my case it's basically just Mastermind with more murder weapons. The dice would allow me to move further, but as you have to be at the correct location and get all the other bits right to win, I figured I'd just check all the locations one by one.The Milky Weigh (Commodore 64)Spillhistorie.no2022-10-14 | I play The Milky Weigh, which was published on a 64 Tape Computing cassette back in 1986. It's a Lunar Lander-ish game where the goal is to get to a certain point in each level, and the sequence of levels seem to be somewhat random. Also, some levels have gravity going sideways or whatever, which is what kills me in the end.Astral Zone (Commodore 64) brief gameplaySpillhistorie.no2022-09-09 | Could not find any proper gameplay videos of this. It's absolutely terrible, because the controls are reversed. So I couldn't stand playing for long, but here you go.Ghostbusters (Commodore 64) - themeSpillhistorie.no2022-09-09 | Sing along with the Ghostbusters theme!
C64-version by Russell Lieblich.Chrome (Amiga) Quick playSpillhistorie.no2022-01-31 | Chrome was a hidden game (easter egg) in Switchblade II. It was later published on a CU Amiga coverdisk. This video shows the first and second level of the game.

https://www.spillhistorie.no/Audiosurf feat. Machinae Supremacy (Sidology Episode 3)Spillhistorie.no2021-08-09 | Oof, I'm too old for this.
Also, here's the band's website: machinaesupremacy.comAMOS 3D Rolling Demo from CU AmigaSpillhistorie.no2019-12-02 | This is a short demo showing off AMOS 3D. Camera can be moved in the last part. It's running on an emulated Amiga 1200, so the performance is a fair bit better here than on for instance an Amiga 500+ which would have been the "standard" Amiga model when it was released in 1991.
http://www.spillhistorie.no/Bartman animation (rotoscoping), AmigaSpillhistorie.no2019-12-02 | A neat little example of rotoscoping. From the september 1991 CU Amiga coverdisk. Created by Peter Lee.
http://www.spillhistorie.no/Stix (Commodore 64, 1983) - all levelsSpillhistorie.no2019-11-26 | This isn't a "longplay" or anything, as I don't think there's an ending to reach, but I am pretty sure I get through all the individual levels. Edit: I don't know why this video is so choppy. :-/
http://www.spillhistorie.noTrek Trivia by George Broussard (Amiga version)Spillhistorie.no2019-11-07 | Just a quick video of the Amiga-version of Trek Trivia, a simple trivia game created by 3D Realms-legend George Broussard.
I've never watched Star Trek, so I think I did rather well...

http://www.spillhistorie.no/ProTracker playing Space-Song (Jesper Kyd)Spillhistorie.no2019-09-20 | The music editor ProTracker was featured on a CU Amiga coverdisk in June 1991, together with this tune. The tune is by Jeper Kyd.
http://www.spillhistorie.no/War Zone (Core Design, Amiga), demo versionSpillhistorie.no2019-09-20 | This is a one-level demo of War Zone. It features the second level of the game. However, there are slight differences between this demo level and the final version, which is why I figured it worth uploading a video.
Note that since I'm crap at this game, I've spliced this video together from several recordings. The effect is sometimes visible. Also, I played on FS-UAE with the automatic screen format option on, which is why the title screen is bigger than the gameplay screen.
http://www.spillhistorie.no/Gravity (Amiga) - intro & theme songSpillhistorie.no2019-09-20 | This wasn't on YouTube. Pretty weird stuff. The game is even weirder.

http://www.spillhistorie.no/Human Killing Machine on the AmigaSpillhistorie.no2019-08-23 | I died inside while recording this. It's okay, I had a good run.
Note: It's a cracked version, and the WOW!-bubble on the title screen is not in the original.
http://www.spillhistorie.no/Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (MS-DOS, 1989)Spillhistorie.no2019-06-21 | Just a quick case in the edutainment classic Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?. This is the MS-DOS-version from 1989, not the original from 1985.

http://www.spillhistorie.no/Lemmings (Amiga) - Introductory levelsSpillhistorie.no2019-01-07 | The seven first levels of Lemmings is a tutorial of sorts, each teaching you how to use one or two of the skills in the game.
http://www.spillhistorie.no/Lemmings - Amiga Format demoSpillhistorie.no2018-11-29 | All the levels of the Lemmings demo found on an Amiga Format coverdisk. Apologies for the borders during gameplay, I didn't notice before it was too late, and I'm NOT playing through that final level again.

http://www.spillhistorie.no/Summer Games (Commodore 64) - Danish anthemSpillhistorie.no2018-11-15 | The national anthem for Denmark in Summer Games on the Commodore 64. Denmark's got two official anthems, and the one Epyx chose is called Kong Christian stod ved højen mast. The other one, Det er et yndigt land, would have been more appropriate for a sports game.

http://www.spillhistorie.no/Summer Games (Commodore 64) - Australian anthem (Waltzing Matilda)Spillhistorie.no2018-11-15 | The national anthem for Australia in Summer Games on the Commodore 64.
This is not actually the Australian anthem, but a part of the iconic song Waltzing Matilda. It's worth noting that Summer Games was released in 1984, the same year that Australia stopped using God Save the Queen (which was already used in-game by Great Britain) as the official anthem.
http://www.spillhistorie.no/Ironman Stewart Super Off-Road - demo version, CU AmigaSpillhistorie.no2018-11-15 | A quick round in the one-level demo of Ironman Stewart Super Off-Road from the november 1990 coverdisk of CU Amiga.
http://www.spillhistorie.no/Formula 1 Racing - Sid Meier (Atari 800)Spillhistorie.no2018-11-07 | Formula 1 Racing was likely Sid Meier's first commercial release, before Microprose was founded. Released by Acorn Software.
I'm having serious trouble with shifting gears here, which should explain about 50% of my bad driving. The rest is just me being awful at games, I guess.
I played this game using the Altirra emulator. I have never used a real Atari 800, so I wouldn't be able to catch any differences between this emulated experience and the real deal.
