In 1989 Prince of Persia revolutionized how we approached platform gaming. I know there are millions of people that are like me that spent countless hours as a kid arduously uncovering more of this glorious classic game. To us long-time Prince of Persia fans, we know all of the nooks and crannies of the game - so I tasked myself with recreating some of the most iconic and wonderful moments in 3D, using the original games screenshots.
Prince of Persia went on to inspire countless other games of similar genres and left and even left an imprint in the movie industry with a Hollywood film of the same title. Jordan Mechner (the original creator) is a true inspiration.
*creator notes* Prince of Persia is one of the most iconic games of all time in my life. It was the first game that our dad got us as kids, when I was only 7. It is part of the reason that I love animating and creating today. This video effect was achieved by taking screenshots and cutting out elements to make flat objects that I could then extrude in places and create a true 3D environment from a static image.

Finally, Mario is here to demonstrate how I've refined my 2D sprite to 2.5D animation technique yet again, this time in 60fps! I started this project last year, amongst others - and finally got around to finishing it! Over the last 4 or so years I've come along way with continuing to build on this technique. Enjoy Mario traversing world 1 - 1 from the best selling 1985 (and first release) of Super Mario Bros!
I keep coming back to my absolute favourite games, and Sonic 1 is no exception. Enjoy all of the sonic 1 boss fights in their full 3D (technically 2.5D) glory. This video took 5 months to complete and is EASILY my most ambitious project yet. Getting the seem-less 2D to 3D effect right took me dozens of hours of trial and error. I've finally nailed a new technique that I can use for future videos. Because this project was so ambitious (and I don't monetize this channel, please consider subscribing, commenting and liking the video. Thank you!
Killer Instinct is still one of my all time favourite fighting games. It's long-been on my to-do list. I proudly present Killer Instinct (snes) reimagined as a 3D game! This process good over 300 hours to complete from start to finish. I wrote all 12 tracks for the video - and if I get enough requests, I will finish some of them and release them for free publically. At this stage i've only composed the appropriate parts. Something a little different! I was confined over the last few months (with the whole self isolation thing) and I got kinda sick of looking at computer screens. I decided to do something a bit different this time around, and build a 9 inch Mortal Kombat 11 Scorpion figurine by hand from polymer clay. This is the build process! Took over 200 hours to complete, because I initially created him with really long legs, and it look me almost 2 weeks to rebuild the bottom half of the armature without ruining the whole thing. Enjoy!
Donkey Kong Country intro reimagined in stop-motion 3D! Everybody knows the classic intro scene - so this time around I added a little Bitplex flare. Like me, i'm sure this intro is really close to a lot of peoples hearts. It deserved a homage built from blood sweat and tears (and over 200 hours of work).
I've included a behind-the-scenes segment in this video for the very first time. I don't show the process of designing and building the models, or the animation process, since those are techniques i've created - but there are still some goodies to enjoy. Thank you to everybody for the wonderful support! It means so much.
One of the most memorable intros of any Sonic game! I couldn't resist trying out my new 3D stop-motion technique on this beauty. This was animated frame by frame using an original technique that I have spent almost 3 years trying to make possible. I hope this video serves as a homage to one of the best video game intros from my childhood. Plenty more where this came from!

Merry Christmas! This is kind of a Christmas special - and FINALLY i've had some time to go back to my roots and create animations again. Let me know what you think - I want to divide my energy up a bit next year and create more diverse content for the channel again For those of you who don't know, the channel used to be all about animation. I'm still going to make the Pixel 3D videos too obviously.

Due to popular demand, after months of hard work and countless requests...I FINALLY proudly present you Sonic Mania re-imagined as a 3D game. I'm often working on videos simultaneously, and because this game has a whopping 13 zones and loads of other goodies it literally took me months to create (close to 250 hours). The first Sonic trilogy is one of my all time favourite game series so this was a real treat to make.
I could have added a lot more to this video, as every individual act has a different look to it's counterpart act, but it's all just a fun hobby (i don't make money from these, they are ad-free). Sometimes I just need to know when to stop and move onto the next project. Phew!
Thanks for all of the support so far - you're all amazing for enjoying the content I create and for keeping me motivated. I do not slap ads on these videos - at this stage they serve as a community offering.
The Dot Matrix was the working title for the Gameboy system before it was officially released in the late 1980's. What a revolutionary system it was - at one stage or another i'm sure we all got our hands on one and experienced the bliss of the hand-held experience in the early 90's!
Bitplex presents Classic Gameboy games reimagined as 3D games. I picked my favourites from a selection of titles, and I hope that some of these were games that were dear to you too.
What game platform (or games) do you want to see reimagined in the next video? Like the video and leave a comment!

Super Mario Kart is close to many of our hearts, and being such a popular franchise, which has pioneered an amazing series of games to follow, I challenged myself to rebuild all of my favourite characters and maps from the game in 3D, retaining the original Super Nintendo graphics.
This was an incredibly fun project to create and I spent many hours enjoying all of the hurdles I faced along the way. I also wrote the track from the ground up - reverse engineering the original Super Mario Kart theme. "Speed Boost" was specifically for this video - so if anybody would like it for themselves, there's a free download link below!
Thanks for all of the support so far - you're all amazing for keeping me motivated. I do not slap ads on these videos, so these are purely a community offering.
It's finally here! 10 Classic games from our childhood reimagined in 2.5D/3D. This project was one of the funnest, most ambitious that i've attempted, and i'm proud to say now that i'm really happy with how this turned out. I'm really curious to know what others think too, because this is going to be part of a series - so let me know!
Sit back and relax - let me guide you through the journey i've been on, how I started animating in the first place, where it lead me, and how I create some of my video projects!
I'm honoured to have felt comfortable enough to have stepped outside my comfort zone enough to make this video. All of the support and feedback that i've been receiving has lead me down this path, so thank you all from the bottom of my heart. 10k subs is nothing to laugh about - and considering that as it stands my channel isn't monetised in any way (I do not make money from any of my videos) the real reward is in this feedback and support. It's invaluable.
Please let me know what other aspects of my animation or music you would love to see from me in the near future. I read all comments and respond to most, and importantly take everything on board!

We’re always anticipating more engaging items and new features in Rocket League. You asked, and i’ve listened. 16 new reimagined trails! I tried to think outside the box a bit more this time around, diversify my ideas more. And also think of legitimate trails that people might actually want. One thing we are all yearning for are trails that can match the colours of painted wheels etc - this is a good place to start!

We’re always anticipating more engaging items and new features in Rocket League. You asked, and i’ve listened. 16 new reimagined boosts! Wow, what a project. Using a handful of work-arounds and a hell of a lot of trial and error, I’ve come up with some hard hitting concepts to whet your appetites. This is Part 3 of a running series of the Rocket League Reimaginings.

Happy Halloween! Finally part 2 of Rocket League goal explosions reimagined in creative ways is available - and this time it’s halloween themed! Yes, these are over-the-top and crazy, but that’s what makes them fun. Try not to take them too seriously - it’s really just some eye-candy… you know, in case you missed out on the real candy.
Here's the list in order: Lost Souls, Venomous, Incubus, Blood Hoard and Arachnophobe.
What would one of everybody's most loved 90's game Donkey Kong Country look like, if instead of seeing it in its 2D parallax form, you could witness its true 3D depth? The Donkey Kong Country (Snes) Series is honestly one of my most beloved game trilogies of all time. The team at Rare created a true masterpiece. I've often fantasized as a kid growing up, just how this would look beyond the confinement of 2D. The game made us all feel like we really could just walk off into the jungle...and now we really can.
Please support this video if you would like to see the full length (with all levels and worlds and bosses included) version in the future. These projects take time so support for this will help me see that it's really worthwhile. This game deserves it!

What would ALL of the Sonic Mania zones all look like if they were recreated in 3D with all of the shapes and colors of the original game? You're about to find out. Stay tuned for the full video - I'm still working on it!
*creator notes* I created this method of portraying all of the 2D sprites as a three dimensional object by dividing all of the flat sprites/images up into blocky "3d pixels" then I extruded the pixels that needed to stand out more than others to achieve this 3d effect.

We're all so hungry to see more creative goal explosions in future updates. I've come up with some concepts to whet our appetites. I conceived 10 entirely new goal explosion ideas - and brought them to life with detailed sound design and animation, and a little smoke and mirrors! Here's the list in order: Nebula, Phantom, Dynamite, Wormhole, Kryptonite, Kraken, Cannon Blast, Binary, Bitplex and Venom.

Glimmer is dedicated to my amazing dad - you are now part of the universe - and i'm sure it's as incredible as you taught me.
Glimmer - on the cusp of an extinct planetary system, a white dwarf star has had a mass solar ejection which will in turn devastate all familiar life. It's a beautiful, strange event. Most life will witness such an event over the course of several days, as this star system is hugely farther away from the host planet. Can life prevail beyond such a rare, powerful circumstance?

What would the original pixelated Sega Genesis version of Sonic The Hedgehog 1's zones all look like if they were recreated in 3d with all of the shapes and colors of the original game? You're about to find out. To add some flare to the new depth, each zone has a rewritten version of the original level theme.
*creator notes* I created this method of portraying all of the 2D sprites as a three dimensional object by dividing all of the flat sprites/images up into blocky "3d pixels" then I extruded the pixels that needed to stand out more than others to achieve this 3d effect. It was a fantastic project - and rewriting all of the music was a thrill too, because I am so fond of sonic music and felt like after 20+ years of playing the game over and over i'd added a little piece of it to my heart.

Relax, take a look around. I make a lot of funny and creative video game inspired animations. I reimagine what a game or a tv show would be if it were developed differently, and bring that to life. I also write all of the tunes on this channel, and upload my more serious tracks as music videos.

Exospores - Powerful microbes that take host of stray comets, and hitch a ride to the nearest unlucky planet. Once airborne they infiltrate the landscapes, suffocating life as we know it, and forcing an apocalyptic reign upon us all.
I think there's something really beautiful about chaos - it's experienced in the moment more than a lot of other things. If we were running for our lives from a giant swarm of deadly bacteria, we probably wouldn't bother to get out our smart phones and film it - not if we knew that the social platforms we've relied on for the past decade wouldn't exist anymore. We are forced to live in survival mode. That's what Exospore is about. I wrote this track because I wanted to experiment with expressions of chaos and beauty in combination with one and other, and force them to overlap. Like it does in the natural cycle of life. Enjoy.

A lonesome hero struggles to overcome strict regulations that are imposed by a post-apocalyptic governing force.
I created this project over several months - it holds a lot of subtle nuances as it's more of a metaphor for grief masked as a cute little short film. If anybody is interested in exactly how I created this, from the music composition to the character design, to the animation to bringing it all to life, i'm considering releasing a "making of" video - so if I get enough requests, i'll put it together.

Imperials are the sacred spirits of the water, that lurk in luminous numbers and attract lost souls to confide in them. They were once living royalty, common folk, and even machines. These reincarnated souls are eternally basking in the depths. Sometimes a stray Naut will see their glow over the horizon and take refuge in their warmth during the cold seasons. Decommissioned or stray war machines sometimes find enough forgiveness in the world to overcome their fierce nature, and there's known to be a lucky few machines that have become an imperial.

Stranger Things is certainly a captivating series. When I finished season 1 it I honestly wanted more of a fix, so I decided to recreate my favourite scenes from various episodes in a 16-bit style. It was seriously a great project - and it inspired me greatly to continue working hard on my channel, after so much support from everybody!
I wrote an extension of the theme song too, which I have proprietary rights over (yes copyright claimers, you won't find any original sources from the theme here so keep moving). It wouldn't be the first time that i've had third party claims stamping their ads on my videos and making money off my work. Which at this stage I still don't monetize. Naughty.
P.s - This was also inspired by a pretty niche, but existing trail of fan art that I found that was done in the 8 and 16-bit art styles. People are so cool sometimes.
P.p.s How AWESOME is the soundtrack in Stranger Things. It gives me chills - the good kind. The smooth, nostalgic whispers-in-my-ear kind.

For those of you who don't already know, Little Ted mysteriously disappeared from the Playschool set in 1973, and the original toy was actually never seen again. This gave me a great idea to theme this track and illustrate the tale of the stunning, surreal and marvelous things that Little Ted might have seen while he was on his adventures away from the set over the years leading up to the present.
I grew up with Playschool and have always held it dear to my heart - so the opportunity to compose this was inevitable when I heard about it on Triple J. I watched a lot of archived Playschool footage leading up to the composition of this track - I ended up recording my own Rocketclock "countdown" lyrics myself to incorporate into the track. I recorded many miscellaneous and unique drum sounds with my H2Zoom mic, which are featured very prominently in the track as original percussion.

This animation outlines the comical nature of what happens when a 3rd party game developer makes a blatant attempt at creating a game that's curiously reminiscent of one of the most popular classic games of our generation.

A little bit of fun I had with one of my favourite RPGs of all time. The Snes version of Secret Of Mana converted into an "extruded" 3D landscape and magical reimagining.
I played through the game and screenshot textures and tiles that I thought would suit the montage, and then I created custom shapes in an old 3D landscape generating software called Bryce - and applied textures to them, then recreated some of the iconic scenes from the game in a kind of stage-prop visual. So there was a comfortable viewing angle of about 130 degrees. Then I lined up a camera to pan/zoom through the terrain to the desired effect. Was a really fun project!

*Regarding Ripping off BlobVanDam: A few of you have made comments insinuating that I've made a ripoff of his video. I checked him out, his stuff is awesome! But no, I'd never seen his work, this is my own style - I take screenshots - and bring them to life. See my other work. It's very different.
