I then discovered how you could get the perfect block update using his dupe to create this monstrosity. The fact that the dripstone update suppresses if it's more than 50 blocks makes this all possible!
I need to mention that the dripstone is update suppressing itself by failing the loop that checks the height of the dripstone. This means it can only update suppress itself, nothing else.
I will be uploading another video showing some other stuff we created and farm designs. This did not stop us, we still have a working dripstone duping setup in the latest snapshot 20w49a which I might make a video on later.

The lag machine should work on most versions of PaperMC Versions and is highly configurable. It allows you to timeout players without causing watchdog to restart the server (If built correctly)
It's decently easy to build, although it's highly unlikely that anyone will be able to figure out how it works without seeing mine.
I only noticed it because I attempted to fix a bug for carpet-fixes and realized that if I misplaced a specific line it would cause disastrous recursion to happen, although it would not be obvious unless you searched the entire call hierarchy as I do. So I checked how paper did it, and it seems that they misplaced that line ;) (This fix is not public in carpet-fixes for obvious reasons)
Btw, I'm not hating on paper. I don't approve of how they do things sometimes and how they change vanilla behavior although they work hard to fix issues also.

Disclaimer: Prob should have said this in the video but... If you set up a system like the first shot in the video. You will most likely crash the server within 10 minutes due to memory "leaking" from the light engine. You can bypass this issue by using starlight!
Technically the memory is not leaking, you are just adding light changes to a queue, and the light engine can’t keep up, so the queue keeps growing. If you stopped the water and wait a long time, *eventually* the queue will empty itself

As described in the video, what happens is that the goat disables friction when it jumps. Although its attraction to wheat task has a higher priority, so if the goat starts the jumping tasks, and you pull out wheat, it will not be able to finish the jumping task. Resulting in a goat without friction.

This prevents all schedule ticks from ever executing and also prevents ticking block entities from ticking
Disclaimer: This is irreversible and can cause the server to halt while trying to shut down if entities are in the chunk on server shutdown. This will also delete all entities that are in the chunk before executing it. I believe this chunk should stay frozen in the next updates also!
This system works based on the same concept as chunk regen. Basically using the chunk regen book, if you throw it in 1.17 most people told me it does not work anymore. Little do they know that it causes this bug, where the chunk becomes tick frozen. Instead, we created a way to do it in 1.17 by changing how it works. Chunk regen is possible in 1.16 although it's dangerous since it might cause your chunk to get tick frozen, so instead, you want to open a container and shift-click it in.
Explanation: You drop a book that is so large that the writeUTF system in StringTag messes up and incorrectly writes the book's string data. Then when the chunk is read, it reads the entities first. The book still being an item entity is there, the readUTF in StringTag fails due to how the writeUTF broke, which causes it to fail in the chunk reading system. This causes the tick scheduler, schedule ticks, tile ticks, and a few other things to be skipped. Making them all set to null. The result meaning that all schedule ticks in that chunk just don't get executed cause the schedule tick of that chunk does not get set. Entities cannot be saved to the chunk either since the server is unable to read the chunk. So having an entity in the chunk on saving causes the server to halt forever due to a bug in how it saves. So much like Chunk Regen and update suppression, this is just a very well timed crash in the code which gives some interesting results.
TL;DR learn to read.

Steps to recreate, make sure your inventory is completely full with items on the ground so that when you put an item in an anvil, the free spot gets filled up. Put the item you want to dupe into a damaged anvil, rename it, and hope the anvil breaks. Once the anvil breaks it will dupe the item.
Works on multiplayer.

This design does not use redstone redirection, it's coral-less, dustless, and it's even 1-wide tileable.
Thanks to pwouik for compacting the original TNT-duper concept I designed, which I then used for this.

The reason that these lightning rods are so powerful for the technical community is the fact that they strongly power the block they are facing into. A few blocks already do this in the game although detector rails are the only ones that can do this while being movable and actually useful, although they can only strongly power the block below them.
Mojang has mentioned how they are very strict on the rules which strongly powering blocks must follow, lightning rods that stay permanently powered do not follow these rules in the slightest and will probably be seen as overpowered by Mojang.
That is why we have decided to keep it as secret as possible, in an attempt to have them released in a public 1.17 version. Having such as tool would allow us to create some amazing contraptions!
I made a TNT duper that relies on extremely basic components using this, I show that at 5:16

Doing so allows you to make the server believe you are still within the chest allowing you to bind yourself to that chest. Binding yourself to a chest comes with some side effects such as locking other containers for the player that is bound and locking villagers server-side.
In this video, I explain why this works and what we have discovered using this technique.
Forgot to mention: Spam click a chest to un-soulbound from the chest since the leaving packet will happen while the update suppressor is resetting. You are going to want to do this before leaving to prevent the crash. Having a 1-tick update suppressor would completely prevent you from using inventories.

I started looking into it when I saw 756 756’s video (youtube.com/watch?v=uLDkdorko2A) showing how the channeling trident and a lightning rod could fire quickly when moving the lightning rod.
I looking into the code and noticed it was just an OnProjectileHit() call, so I knew exactly what to do...
All the testing we had done so far was based on moving the lightning rod, I made this overpowered version by using translocation from 0-tick piston heads to move the trident a microscopic amount really really fast. Resulting in this insanity.
This lightning generator was used by Docm77 & Rendog for hermitcraft S8

Releasing source code of a game is not permitted, you will get in trouble (depending what the license for the game is, how long the game has been out, and what you are sharing) So texture mods aren't the best unless you make it into an installer, since sharing the APK is not exactly allowed.

BeauPrime! I really enjoyed using your serialization library (BeauData), It took some time for me to understand how it worked so I could deserialize RobotData. Since il2cpp doesn't allow me to see the code, so I had no idea what could be serialized. It was pretty well written tho!
Not exactly sure who made RuleScript although I believe BeauPrime & maybe Jonathan both worked on it, I didn't get time to use it but I did check how it works and the setup for it. It seems nearly perfect for level challenges, but I believe I could make rule tables in JSON and load it, which would be cool for modded levels/challenges. It's super flexible which is awesome!
I didn't have time to look at all the other cool libraries such as BeauPool & BeauRoutine, since 1 week is way to short for me to understand years of programming xD. I can't wait to have access to the alpha launch, there's still so much that I wasn't able to check out!
I am not a graphics/texture expert so my opinion on this should be taken lightly, although I think the game looks amazing. just don't quote me on it xD.

What counts as terrain? The terrain is all the ground collisions. Rocks, and Trees are terrain assets (so it won't work). Blocks, Buildings, Objects, and Water/Chemicals do not count as terrain. ========================
Here's a rundown of what I talk about: - Cells: The sm world is a grid of 256x256 area's, each individual area is called a cell. - CropValue: Total sum of crop value's in a cell (If bigger then 10, raids can spawn) - HighLevel Count: Amount of crops with a cropValue bigger then or equal to 3 in a cell - Raiders have 32 spawn attempts, they spawn at random within 200 blocks to 320 blocks from the raid center - Raiders can only spawn on terrain - There are 3 farmbot states: Default, Raider, Ambush
Ways to prevent raid spawning: 1. Have less than 10 cropValue in a cell 2. In their spawning radius, either place blocks or non-terrain so that they can't spawn. (such as water)
Raidless farms are an interesting topic, they allow the player to play in a "peaceful" mode, without needing to worry about farmbots. Some people enjoy this a lot more, so I hope the raidless farm designs help out.

This is one of the first Scrap Mechanic Survival Mods to come out, I was working on the idea of modifying terrain generation since before the survival update so that this mod could be made. I really hope you all enjoyed the video and enjoy the mod!
The world generation mod I am working on is pretty experimental, and hard to use since there's no way to make a GUI element that I can interact with in the menu. That would allow me to set up a selection menu for world gen. So I am working on making the world gen much more powerful and usable for the public. Bigger mods will take even more time, so give the mod developers time!
Let's not forget that most mods broke in the survival update. Don't expect many scrap mechanic mods for a bit while all the devs are modifying there mods to work on the new update. This mod is a modification to main scrap mechanic files instead of an actual mod.

This design was created by Me (PR0CESS/FX) & Skyrising on the scicraft snapshot server.
This video is a timelapse of our building time speed up 6000x, I'm literally amazed by ilmango when he manages not only to make our flying machine smaller but also adds an update suppressor below the water, which me and sky tried doing as well (ilmango beat us to it!).
A few people have asked me why it's so big, that's simply because you need to activate the update suppressing pistons with Redstone blocks so that we get a good 2 tick pull from the pistons, therefore causing the water to get update suppressed. We then needed to stop water from spilling so that it would not update the rest of the water. The most amount of time was when we compacted it (this video)
I was not intending on releasing this video since I guess its the weird type of stuff I do normally, although in case anyone needs a 1-wide flying machine, head on other to my discord and msg me, ill get the schematic for you!

The main concept of this 5x5 B36 generator is that it is 99% reliable and does all 5x5 blocks, so these platforms can be made into a grid, a flawless 5x5 B36 generator. B36 is now known as minecraft:moving_piston!
The 5x5 B36 platform was originally created for Docm77 for Hermitcraft during the Build battle, the plan was to create a platform above Grian, Mumbo, Iskall, and Goodtimeswithscar so that they could not build higher, resulting in Doc being able to surpass them in the build off. Unfortunately, Docm77 did not have time to create the platform (plus its kinda expensive)
In my last video I showed off how falling entities inside of b36 blocks will not despawn, you can make some pretty good traps and secret entrances using that technique. Although the main purpose of this video is to explain how to make a massive b36 platform, which could be used to make a trap like the one I showed at the beginning of the video or one like the trap I showed at the end of the video.

I had to create a modified version of Smokey's since I wanted to keep the middle block so no gaps would be visible in the platform. Another issue is that I needed mine to be 99% reliable to make sure no gaps existed in the grid platform, that's why mine is a completely different design.
