These zhiyun crane gimbal movements are the foundation of working with a stabilizer. ORBIT - Rotate around a point of interest, keep panning and keeping the subject in the center of frame for best effect.2. CRANE - In this example start low and raise up high. A tip is to tilt down slightly as you crane up to keep the subject centered.3. SLIDER - Put the gimbal in a non follow mode (press the thumb stick once. This can be tricky to get it right as you need to compensate the forward back distance when going left to right. Pro tip is to film in a high frame rate and slow down and add warp stabilizer and just use the middle of your shot.4. DOLLY - Dolly or track in or out or left or right it's the most simple move great when you have lots of action passing by you on the left and right of frame.5. TILT - A move that is used a lot less as the frame is tilted but in the right situation you can get some really mind bending shots and add a nice touch. (If you caught it Shot type 5 is labeled 6, getting out daily content = mistakes haha.)The Zhiyun Crane has been one of my favorite investments and made a big difference for my video productions. Best quality export settings for youtube keep that target bitrate up around 16 to 50 and select VBR 2 Pass.How to export faster and upload fasterLower that target bitrate and select VBR 1 Pass. This will lower the quality depending how much you drop it but you will be surprised about how far you can go and still have acceptable quality so you can have a faster workflow.A lot of videos show you how to export best quality for youtube, in this tutorial I want to show you how to use Premiere Pro to export still in good quality and get faster export times and upload times when you want them. These are my video export settings for youtube.Learning the best setting for your type of youtube video is about using the target bitrate slider, this will reduce the file size and for some videos that don't have much movement you can lower the bitrate and still not have a really noticeable drop in quality. Which results in a faster upload.For example if you are to upload a very long conference presentation to youtube and your internet connection isn't the fastest, at a high bitrate HD video settings I would have to leave my computer on overnight uploading. Get this great on camera video light here http://amzn.to/2hnfOifThe Yongnuo air 300 LED video light has saved me at events because it's light tone is very color accurate, bi color, lightweight and throws a nice soft light with it's brilliant built in diffusion filter. In combination with other soft lights this would be a great addition to your lighting for youtube videos.Video camera lights are so important to taking your videos to the next level. You can even have a cheap camera and having a soft light will give it a more professional look. There are some video lighting tips before you buy in this video but this LED is awesome quality for it's price and is great addition to your dslr video accessories.In the past when I didn't know better I just bought a cheap video camera light and thought it would be fine. I learn't that a super cheap light causes everyone's faces/skin to look very yellow/green, I really disliked using it, the white balance on my camera was correct but the super cheap light's LEDs were way off. It's so small I still carry it with me for every shoot and it means I will always be saved for quality audio.I have a 2x Sony wireless lapel kits and whilst wireless is awesome because of the freedom you have, they also have their drawbacks like carrying batteries and audio dropouts and interference which can be really frustrating on a professional shoot.The Rode Smartlav+ doesn't need batteries, it's tiny and it won't have wireless interference. The downside is that it is wired but you wont have such a big problem if you plan how you will use it. This plugs into a zoom h1 recorder as a great alternative audio solution.This lav microphone works plugged into your smartphone or zoom recorder or if you buy the converter cable and extension cable you can plug it into your DSLR and monitor the audio level. Yes you can run them off mains power or a USB power bank via the USB port on all receivers and transmitters giving you peace of mind to always be able to monitor audio whenever needed.That feature is the best when you are a one man band on a conference shoot and you are stuck behind the camera and don't need to think about so many different batteries.Recommended wireless lapel mic kit is the Sony UWP-D kits (I own 2 kits and use them almost every shoot) especially for 2 person interviews and conferences.The Rode Smartlav plugs into your phone so depending on what app you record with the sound may sound "compressed" like when someone takes a breath it may sound as loud as when they are talking in the worst case but I always have it with me as a backup. How to cover up jump cut edits Video Upskill 2016-01-05 | This is a great video production technique to have in your skill set.You can use this when you have talent talking direct to camera and is most effective when they are aligned on the left or right third of frame.The 2 camera effect with 1 camera is a crop in on a section of the shot so that you are effectively changing up the frame from a mid shot to a close up. This can also be used to cover up mistakes and make the edit look very clean.This can help with,- Viewer engagement as the shot is changing (instead of holding the same shot)- Cover up mistakes when the talent says something incorrect that they don't want in the video or has to pause in their presentation.Caution!Some cameras film with higher detail (resolution) than others so for the ones that aren't as detailed crop the shot in less.
