Do you ever feel judged for being autistic or using tools that help you cope, like noise-cancelling headphones, fidget toys, or sensory aids? In this video, I share a real story about feeling embarrassed at work for wearing headphones and how that moment taught me a powerful lesson about autism self-advocacy, confidence, and communicating sensory needs clearly.
Many autistic and ADHD adults struggle with sensory processing issues, social anxiety, and fear of looking different in public. You might avoid using headphones in loud places, stop stimming, or hide your coping strategies because you worry about what other people think. I have been there. The truth is simple. You are allowed to do what you need to do to function, stay regulated, and feel comfortable.
In this video, you will learn practical ways to explain your autism, set boundaries, and respond to judgment without conflict. I break down how to communicate your needs in the workplace, in social settings, and in everyday life with confidence and pride.
If you are an autistic adult, ADHD adult, or neurodivergent person who wants better emotional regulation, stronger self-confidence, and tools for handling sensory overload, this video will help you take the next step.

🌟 Navigating Autistic Burnout: Finding Your Calm 🌟
Does your brain feel like its on pause? Youre not alone. Autistic burnout can make everything feel offline, and recognizing this is the first step to recovery. Understanding and loving yourself during these moments is crucial. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is take a step back, be kind to yourself, and let your nervous system reboot. For me, that means indulging in comfort shows, embracing low-demand time, seeking out quiet spaces, enjoying snacks, making no big decisions, and most importantly, feeling no guilt.
Yes, even binging on Love Island on Netflix can be therapeutic if it helps your autistic brain unwind. Remember, burnout is not laziness. ADHD fatigue is not failure. Sensory shutdown is not weakness. It’s okay to need more recovery time. Everyday tasks can take a lot more energy than people realize, especially if youre autistic or have ADHD.
Learning about autistic burnout, sensory overload, executive dysfunction, and nervous system recovery was a game-changer for me. It helped me halt self-imposed pressures before hitting a crash. By granting myself permission to recharge, Ive found a balance that respects my neurological needs.
